Thw adaptation of using fats for energy can take 2 days and up to 14 days for some people. However, the vast majority will take around 1 week give or take a few days
Some advantages

Increased lipolysis (breakdown of fat)
Decreased lipogenesis (production of fat)
Decreased catabolism (muscle protein is spared from breakdown)

This diet works very well and I have personally used it myself many times.
However it does require a 're feed once a week where you will consume 2-3 times your daily amount of calories.


From the foods you've mentioned in your original post. I was a little concerned with the oil and grease aspect. But from your second post clarifying it, seems you have a better understanding.
The whole concept works on eating the caveman form of food.

It's very important to watch the sort of fats you consume in that you don't over eat good fats which are dense in calories.
I do suggest you get that refeed in once a week as it aid the burning process giving your body the needed carbs and insulin spikes which are valuable in this diet.

Just a quick intro as I am a newbie here but wanted to introduce myself and what I have been going through. To make a long story short I am 34 with low T (hypogonadism) and currently being treated with Reandron - I am only on my 3rd shot (first, 2nd at 6 weeks, 3rd at 12) and my levels have increased from 6 (normal test is from 10-42) to 20 in the past week. I am feeling good but have quite a bit of brain fog, not sure what to attribute this too....anyways its been a long hard road for me guys, was in the best shape of my life two years ago and had a rugby injury which then forced a laterjet procedure for my left shoulder (late 2013)....shortly after I developed golfers elbow in my right elbow (probably from jacking lol nah but seriously who knows) the laterjet procedure (bone graft) failed and they had to go in and remove the screws and fix what they could in mid 2014....a month later I was hit by a motorbike while at a red light.....since mid 2014 no gym, just physio therapy every week ...twice a fkn week...ive been dedicated, taking supps, eating right, walking etc but no gym....doing rotator cuffs band work and light dumbbells for scauplar strengthening....I have also had numerous scans on the elbow such as ultrasounds and MRI's which show both ulnar nerves are okay but they are tight (when I do those flossing exercises they flick) - the shoulder has come okay , def not as strong as it should be but then again I don't want to lift that heavy anymore, just be able to lift and be healthy, get rid of stress and feel like a man again.....(sorry for the long whinge)....this weekend I lifted light (have not worked out my arms in two years due to golfers elbow - which is now in both arms and still have pain in the right elbow....in the past two years I have had PRP injections (5) in each elbow, and also brought the theraband flex bar for golfers elbow and numerous hand, wrist strengthening devices obviously none have worked......I'm at the point now where I know medicine cant fix this but science possibly can.....I am thinking of running a low dose test cyp, deca, tb500 and bp157 cycle after reading so much about them. Tired of being tired all the time and injured if ya feel me. Any help would be appreciated esp sources as new to Syd orig from the States, my bad for the long post....shits been rough.

Happy to try and help. It's a very good diet if you stick to it over a period of 2-3 months I guarantee you'll turn out very vascular.
Some extra little bit of info
This diet with high fats helps improve mood via extra energy and sex drive via increasing oxygen transport through the blood
 
I'm probably going to give the Dave Draper three days tuna and water diet a go next week from Monday.

As sucky as that sounds, I'm looking forward to not having to do meal prep this weekend and my grocery shopping should be a breeze lol.

Go to a doctor first, and get professional help before self diagnosis.

thats fucked. let the reandron build up I reckon. and 12 weeks is too long, tell the fuckers to make it 8 or at least 10 at worst... 12 will suck.
probably stick with that cause the endo will prob continue to monitor ur hormones. and if they are too hi they will think too much reandron or who knows what.
brain frog... hardly estrogen being hi if ur test is still around 20. unless you're really fat?

maybe just 500 test if ur keen but after reading all that, just go slow lol.

As for seeing a doctor - that's all I have done for the last two years - physios, doctors and a few surgeons.
Physio just wants physio - I have seen SOME improvement and surgeons want to do surgery but with no guaranteed results as scans show the medial epicondyle's and ulnar nerve okay with just some tendinitis.
I do not want surgery for the elbow, particularly after the shoulder surgery failed.

That is a hard read.

I feel you def fucked and already tried pushing the Endo to reduce the wait between shots but they are so conservative. I had two scripts for TestoGel and Axiron and was going to use that as a boost but they expired, Australia is mad strict (coming from the States)...at least they were approved and covered though and I could afford them. My estrogen is high at 198, I think the highest it should be is 145 for a male, I am slightly overweight, like I said two years of this hell will do that.
Even if my levels go too high I would stop seeing the Endo and just manage them myself - tired of these Docs playing games with my endocrine system and not listening to me.
Don't want to bore this thread too much so if anyone wants to give me some feedback pls PM me (if you can) - I will try to msg back but I need to reach 100pts, if not I will wickr you. Thanks for the two cents @ Harry

u need some arimidex or somthing to lower estrogen a bit and brain fog will clear up and you will feel much, much better. talk to ur endo about it, otherwise get some arimidex and idk maybe .25 eod for a bit.

Yeh conservative as fuck, it can be more bother than worth going thro an endo... it's far tooo policy now days.
