German volume training on cycle?

Hey wondering has anyone tried German volume training on cycle?? Was thinking of giving it a go with cardio days mixed into my rest days.. opinions?? I'll be running tren and probably have the urge to lift heavy insted of 70% of my heaviest by 10×10

I have tried GVT and advance GVT. I like to mix it up. Have you tried PHAT by Layne Norton? Some of my best gains came from that, Advance GVT, and DC. I had some imbalances on GVT.

In my experience on cycle it is best to train in a hypertrophy style. Your muscles become engorged with blood nutrients are delivered where they need to be and the muscle fascia is stretched allowing growth to take place. You definitely need to train differently while on cycle to make to get the most out of compounds you're running. More volume = more muscle when cycling.

I'm not against GVT, I just developed imbalances on it. I like PHAT because I agree with volume. I train heavy but I also train hypertrophic. I also like time under tension.

yes I have tried just about every style in the past 20 years.

I will say that everyone is going to react different.

the bottom line though is that I feel like training 4X per week is deal using a split

and I agree with gear that hypertrophy is crucial especially with those of us (most of us on here) who use sauce.

I'm telling you it took me about 10 years to realize you need to train differently on cycle. You got to get that pump you gotta get that blood flow, stretch the muscle out that's what's really going to make you grow.

Hypertrophy training seems to be an excellent system when on a cycle. Look at John Meadows for instance, big hypertrophy supporter.

keep trying stuff, til you find what works best for you.

this may take 6 months or 6yrs.......hard to tell.

but in the game nothing happen quickly. (even with tren/slin/GH) so keep track of what your doing and when.

and why crossfit training for example doesn't build as much muscle or make you as strong as hypertrophy training.

crossfit is all about getting in the workout in X amount of time, lifting with full extension.. its not about shredding up the muscles.. not saying crossfit isn't a great workout, but its not going to get you as strong as you can be or work for bodybuilding

My Church teaches all its young men to do Cross fit. Everyone comes to me and asks, "How do I get your body?" My reply,"it sure is not through Cross fit."

I'm just completing my second round of GVT. First time was last Sept/Oct. Had much better results the first time since I was on cycle (obviously). So needless to say I was slightly let down by this go-around, and probably lost more overall strength this time as well. Will try it again on cycle next time.

Basic rule of thumb is that anything that works well for you off cycle, will work even better on cycle. Everybody responds to training different just like diets. You just have to find out what works best for YOU

I did GVT on a tren clone back in '09. I like the concept and believe in it. However you're gonna have trouble doing 10 sets of 10 at over 70% of your max.

try it bro.. You will find your sweet spot through experience.

... I had some imbalances on GVT.

exactly my experience as well. GVT sounds good on paper, brilliant even. Bringing the volume up with more sets and heavier weight, how can you beat that? In practice, 10-set eats up so much time it leaves no room for working out muiscle from different angles. It is probably good for building sheer mass and adding plates to "big three", nut I am sure most folks here are well past that.

Also, someone mentioned that volume is good on cycle. I say volume is good on any day, cycle or not. I say, go with higher reps instead. 20-rep range is a king IMO
