importance of antioxidants

How important are antioxidant for our body, I see them pumped everywhere but I don't know what you are suppose to "feel" when you take them.

Free Radicals are produced in the Body as Byproducts of normal Metabolism plus Radiation and Environmental Pollutants.
Think of it like Iron Rusting when exposed to Oxygen.

They are usually Neutralized by the Bodies own Antioxidants.
A Delicate Balance exists between the two.

So to Aide the Body, it's helpful to Ingest more of what the Body can use to Eliminate the Rust (byproducts).
So that's why you want to Consume Antioxidant Rich Foods......................... JP
P.S.
Here's a list of Foods high in Antioxidants.

• Allium sulphur compounds: Leeks, onions, garlic
• Anthocyanins:
Eggplant, grapes, berries
Beta carotene: Pumpkin, mangoes, apricots, carrots, spinach, parsley
• Catechins:

• Copper:

Everyone should be getting antioxidants. Too many benefits to list. The only thing you may feel is the pump they can give you believe it or not

JP gave you a pretty much perfect answer.

Free radicals are produced in the body from normal metabolism and stress - especially hard training. Anti-oxidants neutralize them. The best thing you can do to increase your anti-oxidant intake is to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables (particularly dark green ones) and supplement with a high quality greens powder 1-2 times a day.

Now this is one complete answer! Nothing to add here.

I think you just feel a better quality of life on top of all the other benefits

I do feel a total difference in my body when I lack the antioxidant intake I usually get. I usually will eat a container of blue berries a day.
