Intermittent fasting/Routine question

Dekar

New member
Hello guys!

I'm 33, 5'11'' and weight 185 lbs. I've been doing intermittent fasting for about 6 months. I'm using a 16-8 7/7 schedule from 12:00pm to 8:00 pm. I've been taking rad-140 in the morning, which i've been assured would not break my fast. The thing is, yesterday is started taking MK-677 (first time ever) and i took it at 10 pm before bedtime. My question is, will MK-677 break my fast or am i ''safe'' to continue this routine? If not, what should i do to be able to maintain both the RAD and the MK while doing a 16 hours fast, what should be my routine? Thank you!

Also, if you believe what im doing is counterproductive, please tell me how you would go at it.

the reason you will get a lot of opinions and its confusing is a lot of 'meathead types' view fasting through a black/white lens only. they are only paying attention to your weight gain/loss and ignoring the 100 other benefits.

let me explain what i mean as someone who has been studying fasting for the past decade and has done the actual bloodwork myself to see how my body has reacted
time restricted eating or intermittent fasting is not the same thing as a prolong fast

when you are doing a prolong fast i never recommend using any sort of supplement or PED. that defeats the benefits or purpose of doing it.

when it comes to these short 16 hour fasts, it is fine to use PED's. you just don't want to consume food or certain supplements during that fasting window to get the most benefits. multi vitamins and bcaas are huge no-no's during your fasting window for example.

if you did a fast longer then 20 hours that would change the game plan because that is when you start getting into the cell cleanse phase so its important to not take a thing during that if you want the most benefits.

this chart explains what i mean

your insulin sensitivity will improve doing 18/6
you will get a boost in HGH free of charge
you will get a little autophagy
and you will better regulate your bowel movements

however the true benefits of fasting don't start until 20-24 hours. you won't reach true ketosis in 16 hours. so i would encourage you to mix in some longer fasts too to get all the benefits. on some days do a 2 hour window, throw in some 24-36 hour fasts and so on

also i know you only have 1 post so cannot PM unless you use the app. but if you drop me a visitor message with your email i will shoot you over a free copy of my fasting Eguide which can show you exactly your fasting options. there are A LOT of ways to fast and a lot of benefits to grab. same goes for anyone else. just hit me up.

Thank you for the quick reply. I guess i'm wrongly educated about fasting because i thought 16 hours fasts were extremely good. What i thought i knew was that after 8-10 hours, your body would fall into ketosis state, burning stored fat. Following that logic, my question was, would the MK-677 break that ketosis state?

Also, would you recommend i keep my 16-8 routine and do 48 hours fasts on an X basis ? (ive done 48 hours fasts before, at least once an month and ended up switching for 16-8 because i thought it had better benefits). Gotta admit, i'm a bit lost. My training is going great, im not having insane gains but its slowly getting there and im trying to maximize nutrition, PEDs and figure out the best routine to reap the most benefits

16 hour fasts are the bare minimum of fasting

take a look at that chart i posted. they are still good but most of the true benefits don't start till 20-24 hours is all i am saying

I personally eat in a 2-4 hour window everyday. so i am fasting minimum 20 hours a day everyday. and i throw in longer fasts. 16 hour fasting though is a good start for sure, better then eating in a 16 hour window lol like most americans do

as far as the MK677. here is the thing. you aren't gonna be in ketosis in that 16 hours anyway, so you don't need to worry about the MK677 breaking your fast. this is why its fine to use PED's during a short fast like that. if you were to do say a 2-3 day fast or longer then absolutely you don't want to take the MK during that IF you want all the benefits of fasting. plus it wouldn't be a good idea anyway cause of the MK messing with your hunger and throwing off your insulin sensitivity and all that. technically it would depend on the dosing as well. it would be like running HGH at 5iu's per day during a 5 day fast which is very counter productive. but if you ran say 1IU hgh it woudl be fine cause that is what your body would normally produce anyway

anyway here is my advice on this last question. run the MK before your last meal of the day about 1-2 hours. and then keep fasting as you are doing. i will shoot you an email right now how to get a hold of me so i can get you my ebook

Alright thank you, looking forward to it. That chart is pretty interesting, i'll most likely tighten my schedule to do maybe a 18 hours fast and slowly work my way to 20 hours. Ill keep a close eye to my mailbox, thank you for your insight!

You're safe on nutrobal mk677 but control your hunger, I've had a lot of hunger on 677

I would keep taking the mk677 at night as you are no issues with the fast, I do OMAD 1 meal per day and it works for me

It actually takes 72hours + of low carbs under 20grams to get into ketosis. You're talking about Autophagy, and autophagy kicks in around 12-14 hours not 8-10 hours. 16/8 is a great start with fasting but in time try to switch to 20/4 or 18/6, step by step.
