My doctor at the anti aging clinic put me on TRT Cuz he recommended it and also put me on an aromatase inhibitor as well. I am to take ¼ mg once a week with my test dosage of 250mg a week. I asked them why I needed the Arimidex and he said it was to help me prevent shutdown. What do you think about this setup he put me on

first of all, 250 is not a trt dose thats being on cycle and secondly, WE DONT KNOW if you are estrogen prone or not... SO WE DONT KNOW if you need an ai or not... thats why you have a doctor to monitor bloods...

i guarantee you that your doctor did not tell you arimidex is there to prevent shutdown so stop the nonsense...

Would you buy a car off a random dealer? Or trust ur taxes to some guy on Facebook u found?

So y do people not shop around for doctors? U need to get a better doctor man. This guy is fucking you

If I blowout my knee I want the best doctor in town

1/4mg of arimidex, meaning 0.25mgs arimidex/week is not much and it will work fine for 250mgs/week of testosterone TRT. It will NOT help you prevent shut down but will help combat estrogen side effects. Arimidex is an aromatase inhibitor, there is no relation to your SHBG directly or LH/FSH for that matter.

There must be something that was lost in translation here because sir, I cannot see a doctor telling you that you are trying to prevent shutdown while on trt, that would not make sense nor would it make sense for it to be recommended to you to use it for preventing shutdown as it is not used for that.

I've been on doc prescribed TRT from a low T clinic and Adex along with Test is standard protocol. I was prescribed. 25mg a week along with 150mg week test.

In most cases, if you are dosing your test properly you shouldn't need an AI. The goal of TRT should be to get your test levels in the mid-high range while keeping your estrogen in range without the use of an AI.

There are some outliers and some people are just more estrogen prone but at 250mg I'd bet you're on double the test you actually need.

I self administer now and 100mg of test a week keeps my levels around 700 with estrogen levels in the low-mid 30s without an AI.

As far as your doc saying the AI was to prevent shutdown, I think you misunderstood. The AI is to keep your estrogen levels in check and avoid bloat, gyno and other E relates sides. TRT is going to shut you down.

Say what?? F**k this clinic off now. They know f**k all

This dosage will not stop you from shutting down, but you will take care of your side effects

Absolutely not! You should not need an AI on TRT if you have the right protocol. Instead of 250mg test per week with arimidex, try 150mg per week without. Still having issues?......try pinning more often.

250 is to high for a trt dose. You shouldn’t have to run an ai on trt doses

Well said !

I've been on TRT for 15 years and have always used a little AI. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
