Just completed a 10 day fast

I had 800grams of lean beef mince, few tablespoons of ghee and spices.
there is debate on what to break a fast with. everyone will be different

just remember what you eat will go right through you since your digestive system is shut down after a long fast. so its important to stick to single ingredient and easy to digest foods. some people like to eat some fruit, others like plain broth. you don't want to break a fast with spicy or fatty foods, or a smoothie that is a bunch of things hitting it at the same time. it will get very messy when it comes out the other end

something simple like a piece of melon, or some plain rice is what has worked for me. broth is good for most people, but for me it doesn't work well.

So not a 2500 calorie meal like I made?
 
Great job on the fasting experience. Hopefully, next time though, you'll log it for us, some surprised you didn't.
 
Next step for you is quitting the cigarettes.

There is no reason for you to do that.
 
Maybe try to switch to chewing gum. It's not good for your gums and it's not good for your jaw, but at least it's better than cigarettes.
 
Muscle And tendon pain from fasting is something weird.

I don't think it has nothing to do with the fasting.
 
Did your issue go away? Or is it still lingering? Maybe you just slept on it wrong.

your pee probably smells weird because you're peeing out a lot of ketones. Next time, get ketone strips from the pharmacy and piss on them. I bet you it'll come out dark red.

It's something probably less than 1% of the population ever accomplishes.

I dont really get people testing their keytones or testing their blood sugar, just see the results happening in real time instead
 
I always thought it was best to break a fast with lean protein, thats why people use bone broth as well as how light it is
Bone broth is fine if NON-fat, you want to stay away from fats the 1st day of the refeed and reintroduce them slowly. Your liver and gallbladder need time. @Slothboy
 
Because it puts so much pressure on the liver and gallbladder? Or because youll store the fats more easily?
Both things are true, but only 1 is dangerous and that's organ pressure. @Slothboy
