I'm currently 17% body fat and I want to get it down to 11% to be able to run a cycle of AAS, I was wondering is the keto diet would be ok to reduce my bf % and then take my roids or it wouldn't be safe? some people say keto diet weakens your body a lot, if not what other type of diet do your recommend, thank you

The problem some people get into on a keto diet is they stop eating vegetables thinking that the small amount of carbs in the vegetables will throw them out of ketosis. That's what weakens the body. Although it's true that you don't want to eat starchy vegetables like corn, potatoes etc. you SHOULD still include highly fibrous low calorie vegetables like broccoli, celery etc.

The keto diet is a very effective diet to loose a substantial amount of body fat. Check out this link on the evolutionary diet. It explains how to set up a keto diet for muscle gain and fat loss -> https://www.evolutionary.org/the-evolutionary-diet

The problem with Keto diet is that it is very hard to follow the right way, and it is really hard to get into the authentic ketosis. Hence the reason it is not the most beneficial diet. I have tried it twice, and I was loving it both times - had a lot of energy, felt really good, did not experience hunger. However, following it religiously is a pain in the ass.

Better opt for the carb cycling - this sort of diet can easily be adopted as a way of life, and not just a temporary diet. It is very easy to follow because it is not restrictive, and yet it is very effective. You can check it out here - https://www.evolutionary.org/cycling-carbohydrates

we all have our opinions about the best diet to cut down.

the keto diet is mostly bullshit because it is not executed properly. it's been hijacked and ran wrong. people will fuck up a cup of coffee so of course people fail at it

i like to keep shit simple.. the way i have lost weight is simple... a daily deficit of 750 calories.. once i flat line my weight for a few days I have a refeed day. then i go back to a deficit. it really isn't rocket science but people use refeed days like treats and they always have them on the same day which i feel is wrong. I have my refeed day when my body tells me to!

in any event try the keto diet.. give it an honest shot and if it works great, if not try something else

I like Keto to Kickstart a Diet for no longer than the 1st ~ 2 Weeks.

Then switching over to a Carb-Cycling Diet.
It's better for keeping your Energy Levels up in the Gym.
As well as helping to build Muscle................................ JP
P.S.
Keto can be really tough for Guys under 30, as the body needs more Carbs.
At least I've found this to be true in my own situation, and the Older Guys I have spoken with.

In the end any diet will work if you stick to it. I am not a huge fan of keto in your case because you don't have a ton of weight to lose. The time I like keto is for people that are extremely obese. It really helps them drop fat quickly. In your case I recommend just being in a caloric deficit but keeping carbs in. I would recommend not going too high with them but I like to have them for energy.
