Ketosis aka the evo diet

brapbrap07

Buff Brother
I've been following this diet loosely for 3-4months now but started to really get strict on it two weeks ago. Now that i'm nearing my target weight

I'm quite curious on how this diet would change when you are on a cycle not trying to cut.

anyone want to give their 2 cents on it?

I personally wouldn't run a no or low carb diet on cycle when trying to add mass. Your body is going to need all the nutrients and fuel from the carbs that it can for growth

I'm really carb sensitive even after I've cut out pasta and breads. So I'm trying to figure out how much
Carbs i can get away with where I'm still keeping my body happy but I'm not splurging.

My brother i always eat carb bfore my workout cause carb give you a lot of energy and is very imp when you running a cycle to get the size

This is really going to depend on how you define being on a cycle and not trying to get lean. If you want to bulk up on the evoluationary diet, it's not only possible but works like a charm. I'm sure you've read Dr. Mario Dipasquale anabolic diet which is pretty much the playbook for bulking while doing low carbs. For those of us who have insulin sensitivity issues (around 7 in 10!), bulking with a ton of carbohydrates will ensure a nasty bulk where you become a big fat snowman. Where do you think that 'snowman' phrase in bodybuilding came from? Guys getting fat as heck while not tanning offseason = snowman joke around professional bodybuilding.

The evolutionary bulking diet involves 3 things:
1) increased caloric intake , BBMR (bulking BMR) = weight x 20
2) re-balancing of the ratios, where fat drops 15% and protein increases 15%
3) increased refeed times, refeeds start during the afternoon on friday and go until sunday night, basically 2 1/2 days
