I just saw that Larry Allen has passed away and he was ONLY 52 years old.
those of you who don't follow NFL, this guy was the strongest dude in NFL history and won multiple super bowls with the Dallas Cowboys. he benched 225lbs 43+ times and won the strongest NFL player yearly for many years straight blowing everyone else away.

he also benched 700+ pounds

what makes this incredible was that he was NOT a full time powerlifter. he was a full time NFL player and considered one of the top guards of his era and maybe the #1 as he is in the hall of fame and made pro bowls every year. being a great guard is about great technique, intelligence, balance, leverage and great hands.. strength is just an added bonus... this means IMO that had he primarily focused on powerlifting 100%, there is no telling what he could have lifted and likely would have been a top 3 strongest man in the world if he chose that route.

I'm not a Cowboys fan at all, they are a team that i smile when they lose lol.. just like i hate the Jets and bills being a phin fan. BUT this guy always amazed me when i was a teenager at how strong he was. he was a superhuman freak in strength and gifted. it is sad to see him pass away so damn young.

very bad news I'm kind of surprised

I don't follow American football but this guy was strong as hell

this is shocking news he was very young it's scary how people can die so soon

the guy was incredibly strong that's a crazy amount of plates enough to bend the bar in half

I have a lot of respect for him he was always a humble guy

wow he died really young I wonder if he had a stroke or if it was something else

Bros he was strong as hell
