It’s up to you really. I am using straps since I don’t want to tear my bicep tendon any worse than it already is.
I never use wraps or straps, I like seeing how strong I can be unassisted majority of the time, they have a place like anything does, if I was a power lifter I'd probably utilize them.
I started veering off with the straps and only use them now for my top sets, trying to get the forearms a little thicker as well, I’ll try deadlifting without straps since I’ll be using them for barbell bent row before

Would you suggest also I start with using straps or try without first ?
Start light just a plate get comfortable with movement/form & breathing I do over under grip I’m right handed so my left I use underhand, some do both overhand but when gets heact it’s hard to keep a good Grip hence straps which aren’t allowed in powerlifting competition so I don’t use them. My biceps are ok so far. Something to worry about tho fir sure going heavy. There’s hook grip too, which I never tried.
💪🌸

Some will argue your not training forearms your training back so use straps, for me I like to train grip strength forearm strength and my back, so I don't use straps, sometimes I like making it harder for a challenge to see where my raw strength numbers are at.

I’m with you on this, mixing things up is a great way to shock to body. I am enjoying the forearms pumps haven’t felt those in a long time since using straps. Although I do feel they are superior to really creating that density and size in the back.

@Losiol you're already pretty dense bro and thick mass
you're on the right track even without straps

Thanks bro, really trying to increase the width now to get that v taper look. Unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with tight hips 😂
@Losiol you'll win it keep it up

So recently I have started training with some buddies from my gym so workouts will look a little different for the next few sessions. Lots of super sets and new exercises for me. Guys are more “hybrid” type athletes but I don’t mind changing things up a little every now and than.

Also have added anavar to my cycle
