lowering weights vs lifting weights

guys hi, I have some doubts about this....is it true that the lowering weights can be way better to gain strength and muscle that lifting weights? as I understand lowering weights put more intensiveness on your muscle which is crucial for mass building, thank you.

You are 100% correct. The actual muscle damage (which is what stimulates muscle hypertrophy) actually occurs when you lower the weight. Lowering the weight is what actually tears the muscle fibres.

If you watch the guys with the best physiques at your gym train, you will notice that they all slowly the weight in a controlled motion.

You never want to drop your weights. You can lift the weight explosively, but lower it slowly under control to get the most out of your workouts.

it is all about consistency. we can follow programs and splits all day but unless you put in the hours you will spin your wheels

the most successful people in ANYTHING put in the time to get good. in this case your are training your body and muscles and forcing them to get stronger and grow. obviously there is a reason we see guys in the gym everyday who still look like they don't lift. but a lot of that is due to genetics and what they do outside the gym too. and yes lifting like a bitch with no effort will yield little results. you really have to push yourself, especially when it comes to strength training. the problem with doing that is you open yourself up to injuries... SO when it comes to strength i always tell guys build consistentcy at a lower weight and work your way up. don't do 1 or 2 rep sets while straining, great way to get hurt

As long as you are doing all your lifts with a controlled movement you will get the most out of it. I hate seeing guys try to look macho and going way too heavy. They lift with poor form. This is likely to not only cause injury but they are definitely not stimulating the muscle the most efficient way.
