Massage injection sites

I'm a massage therapist, and doing some research on behalf of a client on deep tissue massage and how it can help bodybuilders - especially in terms of injection sites/scar tissue/stretch marks, etc.
It's also my first time on this site and posting a forum, hopefully i'm doing it right. anyway - anyone with any info, let me know. I'm a personal trainer and know my way around the gym, I just don't have any personal experience with the juice, so to speak, lol
thanks

Heat compressions and massaging the site can help dissipate the oil injected into the muscle. Its normal for a lump to be there for a couple days afterwards especially if they are injecting 2-3+MLs in a single large muscle group like glutes.

there are other ways to break down scar tissue.

massaging the body can actually make injuries worse, it can also pinch nerves.

if you do it, find a person with experience who knows what they are doing, not some girl that works at a massage place in a strip mall

For shoulders, I use a lacrosse ball or have my girl use her fist and massage the injection site for a few minutes right after I pin. Same for my ass cheeks. I also roll out on a fairly firm foam roller for my ass. I haven't had a problem with scar tissue yet. I've also only been using for about 2.5 years so I dont have a TON of scar tissue.

following up to what was said above.

scar tissue forms to reinforce tears especially in your hips, joints, and shoulders. you will get it as you get older and continue to pound away. an example is if you tear your rotator cuff slightly and the body fills in that space with 'scar tissue'.. another example is injecting the same spot over and over and over again.. that is another way you get it

breaking it up is NOT what we want to do, that can actually backfire because that scar tissue is there for a reason in many situations .. instead we want to get rid of the old stuff and bring in new tissue to replace it. best way to kill off old scar tissue ? autophagy.

Interesting! I'll have to read up on autophagy. Glad I dont have much scar tissue as of now. I believe I've been getting more lately since I've been using a prop ester for the first time.

Massaging to break down scar tissue is well known. Mr Olympias Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman both had it done.
Yes exactly. Its extremely common in the bodybuilding world. I had it done to my hamstrings and glutes to help my lower back and mobility. My physical therapist was a 250 lb bodybuilder. I had a spot in my ass he was breaking up where he dug his elbow hard into and put a ton of force and his bodyweight into it to break it up. It hurt like a mother fucker but sure was worth it when he was done

I always massage 1-2 mins after injecting and i can almost pin anything with no PIP.
