On Insta.Only thing better would have been a video.
This way, we could have seen the entire lift up close.
Five and a half. There's a sliver of a view of the 10kg on the outer edge. It'll take 6 plates to get the slingshot to stretch enough for the bar to touch my chest. You've seen 5 before from meFive plates wow that is some big time weights
Except I've done that before. There's a 10kg just visible - so 5 and a 1/2 platesDoing five plates is amazing.
People are lucky to do even 2 or 3 plates.

Your ass will vibrate when I post 7 plates a sidebro you getting too strong. Scared to fight you now.
I still find myself saying that I'M surprised I can do this at 60 tooAmazing at your age that you're still kicking ass.
It just proves that Age is just a number.
One aspect I'm lucky enough to enjoy is feedback via Insta and FB from elite lifters. Yesterday, after just posting this image there, I had an veteran lifter called Ray Nobile comment. Ray was an ass kicking lifter in the 1970 and 80's and even competed in bodybuilding in the 90's. My buddy (known him since he was 17) Sam Solomi offered to travel 100's of miles to help unrack the 280-300kg (300 is 660lbs) when I'm ready. Sam was the first to total 1000kg/2200lbs 'raw' in the UK (sleeves only on squats etc). Sam, who is way shorter than me has been as heavy as 400lbs bwt at one point. Big time PED user too lol. Heck I've multiple elite lifters as FB friends and who I've met etc in person. That's as much about whatever status I've had as a grip strength athlete as my time in the sport. One, Chris Jenkins (likes to lift raw and has squatted 700+lbs - also a buddy of Flex Lewis), had me come witness his axle (2-inch bar) pressing the Welsh record at an event held in the local shopping mall a year or so ago just by virtue of my rep and knowledge of the history. It's going to be great to learn from your log as a strength athlete.
Hopefully I can pick up some tips and give this type of training a go for myself one day
Honestly @Mobster I hate social media so many issues there and so much hate. One aspect I'm lucky enough to enjoy is feedback via Insta and FB from elite lifters. I'd start by noting my volume, set and reps. WAY lower than most who train never mind bodybuilders. The 2nd point is I only add a percent or two year on year. But it's been a LOT of years (45+)
Not my experience personally. If it was I'd just block those people. Same as how you'd deal with it in real lift. Indeed I pulled a pal up on how he came across to me recently. Normally a nice chapHonestly @Mobster I hate social media so many issues there and so much hate.
It's gonna take that to get it to my chest. I can see 7 plates a side using itWas a bit late to the start of this log @Mobster as I was on holidays. Very keen to see the end results of this cycle for ya mate. That f8 slingshot is no joke, I feel you gonna surprise even yourself with what you can push at the end of this. I remember you calling out on your last log saying eventually you will get the 6 plates!
