My first TRT cycle!

- Just got the liquid fish oil this afternoon, will start tomorrow!
- It feels like a waste to throw away good mayo, plus theres only probably a few servings left.


4/11 log

Super busy work day, ate what i could because appetite just not there. Also, sleeps been terrible, only got 4 hours last night. Try again tomorrow!

1 tamale, shrimp & cheese (from coworker)
1 c brown rice
1 c frozen veggies
3 oz chicken breast
3 oz chicken thigh

2 slice milton bread
8 slice lean turkey deli meat
2 slice thin swiss cheese
1 slice american cheese
1/2 tbsp mayo
3 low fat string cheese
1 c blueberries



Exercise: 45 min dog walk, rest day

Thanks! I’ll look for the raw cheese and give it a try. Im lactose intolerant though, so we will see.

Had to go to planet fitness because i didnt have a chance to workout until 2300 (11 pm). So no cardio, am going hiking tomorrow though.

Hey everyone, I just began TRT for the first time last week under MD supervision. I had posted an introduction post and was urged the importance of creating a log. So here is my first log of my first TRT cycle!

I am 36 y/o male, 5'6, 185 lbs., ~18% bf. Lifting 10+ years but did take an extensive break last year due to work/moving.

Testesterone: 527 ng/dl (MD states overall goal is to get it above 800 ng/dl)

TRT protocol:

Week 01-10: Testesterone cyp-Anastrozole 200mg/1mg/1ml IM, once weekly
Week 11-13: Gonadotropin 50 iu SQ, twice weekly
Week 14-21: Completely off everything (8 week rest)
*Donate Whole Red Blood cells, 1 unit, every 8 weeks.

DIET: ~2250 kcal/daily + 5g creatine daily

4 DAY LIFTING ROUTINE:

*Days vary depending on work, but last week I worked out W,TH,F,SAT. So I'm off until tomorrow probably.
*Exercises in same shade of grey are supersets, rest periods between sets to the left, 5m rest between exercises/supersets

CARDIO:
- 10 min post workout treadmill walk
- Daily 1 hour minimum dog walk
- My job can be very active too (at times reaching 25k steps/day for reference)

OTHER STUFF:
- Thai deep tissue massage once a week (its seriously amazing)
- Foam rolling and stretching as needed

I am currently on week 2 of my TRT, and will be injecting tonight at 1800. I can't guarantee I'd be able to post every single day, but I will try my best!

Also, if there is anything else anyone feels I should add/mention please do let me know. Thank you all.

Def want to follow this. So MD is going to run you a 10 week cycle then try and recover you? Doesn't make sense to me... trt is not 10 weeks... he suppressing you more then pulling test taking you to hcg...I don't like the sounds of this personally. Your gonna be on a 10 week high then all come crashing down unfortunately...SMH

Hey guys, been reading to the log and great to see so many people helping out.

But my question is if your test was at 527 in the middle range, why would your doc put u on TRT in the first place?

A good question. I've touched on this before. There is, as there is with a LOT of OTC medication, the individual response. Some might feel like superman at 527 and another run down.

527 is not high that means on a low testosterone day he would test around 400 range.

The proper testosterone range for a male around 40 is 700-900.

That goes against everything I've read. 700+ is more likely a make in their 20s.

Even 400 they consider normal, below 300 seems to be the number from what I've read.

Depends on what you read honestly. Normal male is 600+ but low testosterone has dropped that standard these days, you want to be on the TOP range of tests not bottom range, so even 400 lowest that's not good.

Anyhow I agree you need to post a LOG Journal so we can see what's happening with your diet, training cardio and so on to really help you.

you're not that old, you should be in the 600 range. why do you refuse to post your LOG journal?
 
Saw the question about test levels. Been crazy busy past couple days tho so i will reply when i get a chance to get on a desktop.

But here are my logs for 4/14 and 4/15!

4/14, on the road all day for work, no exercise, ate when and what i could

Mediterranean restaurant - estimates

Probably lots of oil

Honestly you're too high carbs and a lot of breads and gluten it's not good. You should cut carbs down to about 100 and lower gluten intake.
 
The positive is you added fish oil, thats a start. have you considered meal prep?
