@Jacked_Swellington this is an awesome start to the log.

please post your face blurred picture

also with your training lets update tomorrow and as it goes

and a few meal pics would be nice to see

Here's a little backstory.

The first photo in this progression was taken 5 years ago. When I saw this photo I was unhappy with myself and decided to start weightlifting to change my physique. I was a heavy partier for many years and continued to party while lifting weights. I was making progress in the gym and seeing results but alot of that would be undone on the weekends when I would binge drink and use drugs. I would eat great, lift weights and be consistent all week long and then totally lose it on the weekends. Some of you may be able to relate.

Eventually my drinking and drug use caught up to me in December of 2021. I had lost my job, my home, my girl of over 13 years, hell, even my dogs. You'd think that was rock bottom, right? I still continued to drink.

On March 20, 2022, I was involved in a serious DUI accident that I caused. I could have so easily killed myself or someone else. I was looking at some very serious charges. Sitting in jail, unsure of when I'd be free again, I guess that the moment I finally decided to change my life.

Long story short, I refound my faith, picked myself up off the floor, got my shit together and started to rebuild my life. It was the most difficult but rewarding thing I had ever done. I was so blessed to get into a court appointed DUI Program that forced me to stay sober and gave me a great support system. I was able to get my charges reduced, paid my dues and am now totally free.

Today, I am proud to say that I am 530 days sober. My life is infinitely better in every conceivable way. I've held down a great job for almost two years, I'm back in school furthering my education, rebuilding my credit, paying off debt and saving my money to build another home. In less than three weeks I get my driving privileges back, something I haven't had for 18 long months.

I am so grateful for the dedication and perseverance that I learned through weightlifting. If I had not built that solid foundation, even in the midst of my drinking, I'm not sure if I would have been able to make it through. The things I've learned through my commitment to the gym and nutrition have carried over into every other aspect of my life.

Today I am in the best physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of my life and continue to heal and grow stronger everyday. I am using my story as a platform yo help others who may be struggling with the same things that I once struggled with.

"You are most qualified to help the person you used to be." -Ed Mylett

I am thankful for the community I found here and grateful for everyone's willingness to help me succeed in reaching my fitness goals in the healthiest way possible. I am committed to doing everything right.

Thank you for taking the time to read this to get to know me a little better. I look forward to getting to know y'all as well.

I'll get you guys a more current photo in the next day or two but here's a pretty good progression.
