Haven't slept well all week, but not training this morning at 5 but may go this evening because I have tomorrow off for Good Friday. Will definitely go on my off day Saturday. However, I did get a little trazadone for sleep & tramadol for my back from my doctor and I got a solid uninterrupted 6hrs then rolled around for another hour last night and I feel much better.

This is this morning right out of bed, I am at an even 240lbs, or 17.143 stones for Mobster.. lol 😆

100% focus on cutting down first don't worry about losing muscle tissue
and accept that you're gonna lose some strength in the process

people are under the false impression that when they lose weight they lose muscle tissue and it's just not true fat and muscle are two completely different things so don't listen to that BS and be scared but yes you will lose some strength that I can promise you

Thats actually the complete opposite of the truth for the majority of people unless your dealing with a possible muscle memory situation or fist time lifter. When you are cutting down you can definitely get stronger. I know because I do it all the time as well as all my powerlifting friends. Thats what powerlifters do. In the off season they train hypertrophy and gain size and muscle. In the on season they cut down to make weight and get stronger. All during my cut I got stronger as well as my wife. So stop with the nonsense that you are giving people the false impression they cant get stronger while cutting and that they wont lose muscle while doing so. You need to adjust the training in the gym. If you train wrong sure your going to lose strength.

Thanks @stevesmi I'm not afraid of losing what I don't have, lol🤣..
I will stay focused on the cut. I liked the information you & @Mobster gave on recomping recently. I fall into the category of never having the good body with a nice BMI. That's why I ended up at EVO, and got the information I needed to start the transformation. My TRT (test & deca), with the added var has been amazing for me thus far, I appreciate all the support & information.

Trying bro.. this old body is getting tired
@dominion7 I know thats why i'm concerned about you going so low calories
how much of the peptide left? maybe time to stop

you can cut and get stronger. but when you lose total mass you obviously will lose some strength initially.

i never said you can't lean up and get more strong. there isn't a black/white answer to it. people will have different results. obviously someone who loses 20 pounds of weight and hops on tren will probably be more strong.

however all things being equal you WILL lose strength by losing weight. hence why there are weight classes. there is a reason why guys will sacrifice some strength to cut down 3 pounds to compete in a lower weight class against guys who weigh 5-6 pounds less then them. there is a reason i would always cut down water, weigh in and then restore my glycogen. having less mass and less glycogen to work with in the muscle = less strength. that is simple science. if you are doing a company tug of war contest there is a reason the fattest dude acts as your anchor and you put the skinnier guys up front. the science doesn't lie

in dominion's specific case, my opinion is VERY strong. he needs to cut down body fat even if it means losing some strength. why? because he has kids and grandkids and i want him to live to 90 healthy to enjoy them. you don't see 80 somethings carrying extra tires for a reason

I appreciate the concern. There are 4 injection pens, use 1 one each week. So, I've only used 1 injection last Sunday. I more than likely will not use anymore. But I am confused a little because Mobster mentioned this morning that my diet is on point. How many calories should I be eating while cutting ( i thought 1,200 to 1,300)? I figure my protein definitely needs to come up. Is the formula for protein still like, since I weigh 240, I should eat about 240g of protein daily?

muscle and body memory are a real thing. if you have never been lean, it will be much harder to lean up vs. someone who has been lean before.

that is why you see pro athletes blow out ACL's and they are on crutches, then a year later they are back running 4.3 40's. but a dude who trained his balls off that entire year can't crack 5.5

you are improving though so don't be so hard on yourself

make sure you keep eating Quality Foods that's the most important thing
