Is it possible to ingest too much protein? If so what is the limit before we start to face complications. I have some school friends who are taking in 500+grams of protein a day saying it will make them grow quicker is that true?
too much protein can be as bad as not enough in terms of free testosterone levels.
and i'd venture to say that no one on this board would recommend anywhere near 500 grams/day.

I am sure with anything if you go overboard you can have complications but it would probably be very difficult for you to withstand that kind ingestion without wanting to throw up everywhere.
Over dosing on protein isn't going to make you sick or anything like that but it's a waste of money and it's going to cause major GI issues - bloating, constipation etc.
There is no reason to eat more then 1g of protein per pound of body weight.

That's a lot of chicken wings, eggs, protein powder, what are they "supposedly" consuming to get that many grams of protein per day? Maybe one time on a bet but I'm skeptical that's happening daily.
