***(Interpret this thread from a U.S.A. standpoint)We've all heard the rhetoric "DON'T TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOU'RE USING GEAR BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER AND IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE DIFFICULT."

But how true is this? Will it really hurt your chances at getting life insurance? Will it really jack up your premiums? Will it cause any issues whatsoever other than giving your doctor a better understanding of your circumstances and helping them better care for you?

Does anyone have first hand experience with telling their doctor about their AAS use?

you should first off have a trusted doctor that you trust with your life

if you have a heart attack and the ambulance arrives and is taking you to the hospital you wouldn't consult facebook for help or hire aaron rodgers or joe rogaine to do the surgery, you want the best cardiologist in town doing that operation.

2nd off you need to tell your doctor everything, it doesn't have to be a life story but you should tell them what you are on. you tell your vet everything your cat or dog takes so of course you tell your doctor. if you don't trust your doctor enough then find a new one

also not financial advice but life insurance is a scam lol. if you take out a 10 year policy that person would have to die within 7-8 years for you to even break even on what you put into it. and if they die on the 10th year and 1 day you just shelled out 10 years of premiums and get 0 back. again not financial advice but that is why you see husbands take out life insurance on their wives and magically 2 weeks later she dies

I tell my GP doctor about TRT that I get from a different doctor(one that I pay cash to) that also monitors my bloodwork. I don't tell either of them about blasting gear. If bloods and cardiac function remain inline I don't think it really matters if you tell them about the extra usage. Just my 2c.

bros i dont tell my doctor jack

I talk to my doctor about everything but he pretty open

Be open and honest. They can't legally share information. My wife deals with people that use drugs all the time on the medical field. Its private information
