I have gone to a natural show and would fit into physique but I’ve never gone to an open show. I looked up the pictures from last year and those open girls are big!!I would go to a bodybuilding competition
see which class you like and I would pick one
You just don’t like the look of figure? Or the posing? I’m personally leaning more towards physique because of the heels you have to wear in figureI think for you you could do well I either figure or physique
it really is up to you I'm not a big fan of figure personally but I'm a guy
Yes welcome back! Nice job on your Bench congrats on PR 188 went up easy. That’s great. I only got 176lbs back at nationals 2018 as M1 they had 72kg class, now it’s 75 or drop to 63. My goal was 190 missed 187. Keep it up. These guys can give u great advice on Bodybuilding not my wheelhouse. Posing is hard imo. Takes a lot of energy to flex that hard hold poses. I feel like an idiot Everytime I try lolFebruary 21st. 2024
Hey all I’m back and I’m actually going to commit to logging my prep.
I competed in my powerlifting competition in January I ended up doing a bench only as my groin still wasn’t 100%. I had to do a small water cut to hit my weight class (75kg) so I cut 8 Ibs through water. I hit a 20Ib competition bench PR! My last lift ended up being 188Ibs and it went up easilyshould have gone heavier!
Anyways I’m week 2 into my stage prep I’m currently 19weeks out! Currently I’m not on anything. The plan is to start my cycle in April for a July 1st show. My weight is currently 165Ibs.
I figured I should take a current photo to show where my body is at (19 weeks out). Don’t judge the posing to harshly as I’m only 2 weeks into learning how to pose!and I’m finding it difficult! Any suggestions on posing would be appreciated!
Also I’m not totally sure what class I should go in? Figure or physique?

Thank you!! Right picking a weight class is tricky! All the really strong people at least where I live are in the 75kg class. And if you don’t want to hit that class you have to loose a lot of weight… so are you sacrificing strength if you go that direction?Yes welcome back! I mean figure the girls are big physique the girls are bigger…. But where I’m at there’s literally like 2-3 girls doing those two so you really aren’t competing with anyone else. So I agree with you bikini would be way more intimidating because literally everyone is in that class…I think a lot of people don't like to compete in figure because they get intimidated
I personally think bikini is more intimidating though
That’s fair everybody likes what they like!Monstro respects what you're trying to do
but I just don't agree with women bodybuilding it should be for men only
Thanks I try to keep strength up. It was hard durning Covid I had to start over. I had no basement gym. Yeah I was at the top of 72kg tried before 2018 to diet down to 63kg class which at that time for me was more competative! Do you know who Jennifer Thompson is?? 63kg Same age as me. She has 315 bench!! So her total goes way up on That lift alone. So I gave up on 63 didn’t want to lose strength 20lb drop! But now it’s 65kg so idk.Thank you!! You’re soo strong! Those are amazing numbers! Are you going to compete in powerlifting again? I think I remember you adding Anavar to your cycle? Have you noticed any strength gains? I agree posing is hard I think I sometimes sweat harder posing then I do during my actual workout

But @MONSTRO you still now think women weight training is an ok thing right? That’s fair everybody likes what they like!![]()
You said you changed your mind about women and weightlifting! I agree women should not look like men with female heads boobs and vaginas. But I think Women BB can look very beautiful too. So there’s bikini and figure. But it’s a matter of opinion too. I powerlift with a masters woman who got her bodybuilding pro card as a masters over 50 now she’s in her 60s she’s also a world champion powerlifter for Her age and weight! She’s a beautiful lady! Strong too! She’s natural.Monstro respects what you're trying to do
