Over 40 Welterweight Bodybuilding: Placed 3rd
This is my favorite class. I was probably about 166 on stage adding more carbs from the previous day. MP and CP are on Wednesday, and BB is on Thursday. My conditioning is the best it has ever been. Really not sure what else I can do other than put on more muscle. I have not submitted for judges feedback but will do so.
I do think my problem is my midsection belly/lower back are just larger relative to my chest/shoulders. I think top level bodybuilders overcome this by growing those areas. You still have to create the illusion and hold the gut in, vacuums, etc. Still though if you can grow your upper body enough that can get the X frame proportions in better alignment.

I think you do need to work on your vacuum and up the shoulders and back, that will take at least a year to grow into it.
