I am a former Professional baseball player for 13 years.

I am 6'4 260lbs

To begin, I want to say this is my first official forum post, first site I have joined for my workout gossip needs, and the first time I have ever shared my thoughts and experiences on AAS and PED's in Baseball.

The reason for doing so is well, because I can now that I got paid, and I DONT PLAY anymore. SO, I tell the greater bit of the
unknown world to go F%& themselves now.

I am currently starting a cycle which includes Anavar, Test e, (hopefully need2slin) I just found it, and aromasin as my pct.

First, I't going to explain why Baseball players or athletes for that matter take AAS or PED's...

As a young player I was the biggest,strongest,fastest for my age, never had any problems with ability or size. However, when I was drafted, everybody was the biggest,strongest,fastest in their respective regions. As I progressed in the Minor League
system, I noticed young kids every year coming into the organization were stronger,faster, and bigger (muscle) than ever!
So, without being a complete idiot, I asked and got into the reality of AAS and PED's. My career catapulted so fast that within 3 weeks of my first cycle, I hit 11 home-runs having only had 5 my previous 5 months. As you can see where this is going it
helped.

After many years, the recent so called steroids era, and people bashing the game and players, I feel like I want to associate
and chat among others who are comfortable.

So here is where I get into what transpired from a simple oral cycle to a lifestyle of making millions and the difference was NOT because I was bigger,faster,stronger. It was because I utilized AAS and PED's to RECOVER and MAINTAIN during the season,
And GET BIG in the off-season.


SO first, EVERYONE uses some sort of AAS or PED in Baseball, if they say no, BS. I havent met a single player who hasnt done anything!!!!

Baseball players favorites are ANAVAR. Then WINNY. Then HCG. Then HGH. in that order.

Anavar is like a tylenol to a ballplayer, some guys take 40mg pre-game.

Very little use pins during season. SO orals are common.

Testing is a JOKE. Usually its street drugs and Alcohol, and in those cases its known across the board to not even bother with those.

When you see the 50+ players who have "tested positive" for illegal PED's its usually because players get so sloppy with shipments, storage, travel, and use, that well, sometimes they have to get in trouble.

A majority of players in Baseball now that are "superstars" are not currently taking steroids but HAVE and DID and WILL.
As we know, post use your body has built up to certain strengths, quickness, and speed that without the certain "supplement' a body cannot naturally keep up. Injuries are expected and accepted. HELL, if we already got paid, who cares, Only live once...yeah, thats the basic mind frame nowa'days.

Anyways....

My honest opinion on the best cycle for Athletes are as follows;
Test as a base for everything (if not HGH)

HGH is taken everyday (I have been using it for 9 straight years now without a day off)

Anavar (mild yet great recovery results and strength maintains)

In the offseason;
Hell, Take any and everything you can while Lifting like an Animal. Because after all, we have already given up on worrying about our bodies, because we want to keep a job, which in turn gives us millions, and in turn gives fans 103 mph fastballs and
450+ ft home-runs. And that my friends is what people watch the game for.

Great post, one question I have is that in your opinion, why are guys not making a run at the HR record anymore. I'm not sure the stats, but I think only a handful of guys (if that) have hit 50+ since the record was set in '01.
 
Well,
The obvious answer would be because the attack on steroids and limiting their uses.

It's harder these days to take anything, without a snitch or jealous human being going out of their way to make a big deal.

The use of PED' s has not been eliminated, however, the use of AAS has. This limits the ability of players to maintain, or in my era continually get stronger as the season goes on.


Another note, I believe the use of PED and AAS has decreased the true skills of hitters these days. Our most loved homerun hitters were in the game before or towards the end of the steroid era. So before, we had to put in more time refining our abilities both mentally and physically, actually being a great hitter. Nowa' days these kids lack mental approaches to their at bats and rely on their use of AAS or PED' s to get their homeruns. Just pure brute strength.

Look at the greats like Barry, mcgwire, griffey, etc they were all polished hitters before they ever used AAS. And the reasons they did even though they were great was bc younger less polished players using AAS were now catching up to their yearly averages and none of them are half the skillsets or polished hitters as the older guys.

I have a question for you guys, I already know more than half the users of AAS are everyday business men, but what are the reasons people take or use PED' s these days? Besides bodybuilding or jobs that require high physical performances. Is it simply self image?
 
How is your testosterone currently? Has all the years of use lowered your sex drive, ect?
 
I currently do not have any effects from the long term use.
My hgh use has made me feel like I am 25 all the time.
I spend just as much money to my personal doctor as I do for PED' s.
Weekly blood checks etc. If anything goes close to looking abnormal we already have a plan.

I know most don't have this benefit, I suggest remembering the life expectancy is now 78, and if we can get a solid 68 with money,looks, high self esteem, happiness... Then ill sacrifice that 10 years for accomplishing everything I've wanted financially/ physically with the use of AAS' s.....imo
 
why not use people's experience and knowledge to get the same effect but only rather than 68 why not 88 or beyond?
 
can we ask what kind of protocol you are on (or have been on) with the HGH? I've heard of IFBB guys taked several grams per day...
 
I agree. I think with the right formulas and usage the human race could successfully utilize AAS for pro longing life and health! It disgusts me how fat and unhealthy us Americans have become. Lazy
 
I have continually taken 1.5 iu with upwards of 14iu during off season mass gain and during season I found 6iu to be the best for maintain.

Im interested in this QUESTION myself. Waiting for an ANSWER !!! I cant give one because I haven AAS or PH/DH's YET. Even on a mandatory "break"(lier ;) ) from Supplements per order of the doctor. I have a problem with getting out of bed and energy/ motivation. Doctor said its depression caused by a different pill I HAVE TO TAKE DAILY. Also got so bad I would get severe kill me world stopping headaches. He had me on Celexa, been on it now for 5 months. He upped the dose and it worked a little. I have stopped taking it on my own now 3 weeks ago. Started taking NTBM HcGEN to see if its maybe a test related issue.
I can answer why I have and will and do take supplements! It has to do with something atbat has already said. Im about 5'5" 190lbs fat. Before the "depression" with the help of N2SLIN I got down to 160ish lbs and dropped a pant size. Good thing even that I have gain pounds I still can get into my "new" size tight tho. Im 34 and sick and tired of being FAT.
On a side note, for my viewing pleasure I see nothing wrong with athletes using AAS. They get payed, the price of going to see a game isnt going to come down so for what is coming out of my wallet I want to see the best and see them at there best. I also think they should be legal in everyday life for that matter. Just somehow needs to be watched so they dont get abused. Athletes have the trainers and doctors and what not so I dont see a problem there. In everyday mainstream life I dont know how they will do it, they will get abused and thats a fact, there will alway like everthing else be the few morons who ruin it for all.

What is the longest you stayed "on" for? Meaning, what is the longest you took anavar, test, ect without taking a break?
 
Why does the every day Joe use steroids? There are multiple answers to your question and like Bigdon we'll have to wait for people to post their reasons. I've seen this asked at a couple of boards before and the answers were quite varied. There is a huge group that think steroids will help them lose fat. There's another group that believe the reason they can't gain a sculpted body is because they aren't genetically gifted and need steroids to reach their goal of obtaining their ideal body. Both of these groups simply don't have a good nutrition plan or good training plans. There are the guys looking for the short cut to get there quicker...in the we want it right now society. Then there is a group that begin using steroids because of injuries and are looking for a quicker recovery. There's the crowd that will do just about anything to look the best they can possibly look. I know far too many don't understand the health consequences of using steroids. As a group, the overall opinion is they are healthier than the general public because they do use steroids and look to each other to validate their opinion. They believe that they are using them responsibly and not abusing them so it is not affecting their health. They see the immediate changes to their body but don't understand the long term effect that steroids are causing. Hopefully more will post why they use.
 
I take at least 3-4iu every day....during mass building upwards of 12-14iu...during season Im around 4-8iu depending on where I am with my training regimen....
 
I like what hazcat has to say....but the truth of the matter is....people take AAS/PED's because we can. They are readily available....Todays society is based on looks and wealth....Sadly, our society is making those two things hand in hand....fact is, people see someone in shape and with a great physique over someone fat and out of shape, they automatically think healthy - mentally physically and emotionally. More fit for a certain job, a better all around person, smarter, etc...anything you can imagine having the looks is the first thing that matters in the world these days....Sad, but true. So regardless of how they HURT individuals when they are older, ITS THE NOW THAT MATTERS!!!! LIVE and DIE, that is the one thing we were all made to do.
 
Dammit it all I was going to use my charm to persuade you to tell me who you were ;) Great to have you here and I hope you like your first cycle! If you cycle Test-E right you will see results right away. As for why most people cycle... it's image, strength. And why people keep cycling... because it's v. hard to maintain that image natural once you've run aas.
 
Has your height provided you with any problems when lifting weights? (Benchpress, Squats, etc)

If so, how do you overcome them, and if not, What technique are you using when lifting? How far do you go down? etc.

I ask these things because Im 6 foot 5 - 6 foot 6. Ive always had issues when lifting.
 
I am a former college baseball player was AAS use as rampant when you played college ball as it is now, Id say 20 out of 35 guys on a the average D1 roster juice and it would be higher but some kids are to scared
 
Wilcox, in my profession, fast twitch muscles in your body with the exception of your throwing arm, where besides what you may think, longer and leaner muscles are better....ANYWAYS...that may be confusing, as i re-read it it doesnt make sense as i planned, :) When I want to build mass I have found shorter heavier lifts to do the trick, and as I need to lean out lighter weight with high reps...simple things as you already know....

But here are a few things I focused on with my bench or squat....

Bench-a wider grip shortens the distance but puts emphasis on back muscles....so triple the time on tri's and back....strengthens bench easily

squat- single leg-leg press or leg press with feet together on the board squeezing knees together as well as feet....using short and powerful presses builds mass well for me....

Not much help I know but, Hope it wasnt a waste
