Protein bars

Are these a good alternative to a protein shake if your stomach has issues with powder? If I get a good bar with zero sugar but high in protein that I can digest well that should be a good option for me right?

Most protein bars are shit. I say most because naturally I don’t know all of them out there. Having said that. What’s the issue with protein powder?? I’d be willing to say the quality of your protein isn’t that great.

If you get a high quality protein powder without a bunch of shitty ingredients and your stomach still isn’t good consider eating your macros. I know it sounds ludicrous in this “community “or lifestyle but I’ll tell ya a secret. I rarely supplement with a protein shake and almost always eat REAL food. I’m female- 165 @ 5.5 and lean. Proof you don’t need protein from a jug to get “big”.

The problem with protein bars/cookies is that they have a lot of carbs and fat in them. To make the product into a bar or cookie, they need to add carbohydrate and fat binders. Even a low calorie protein bar is going to have at least 5-6g of fat and 20-25g of carbs.

If you are having digestive issues from protein powder - just eat real food. Instead of a shake have a can of tuna or some egg whites

F**k no. They're far worse. And what do you mean by issues with powder? There are some foods that are powder in form to begin with (flour for example)

Bars are very poor choices because they are loaded with garbage calories. No need for them or protein shakes if it is bothering your stomach. Real food is better anyways. Just eat a piece of chicken.
