I just bought some Optimum Nutrition whey protein and I was wondering if I should be taking it every day. Plus when is the best time to take it? Before workout or after? What do you guys recommend most?
 
There is nothing magic about protein powders my friend. They are just a convenient way to meet your daily protein requirement. Use them like you would any regular protein source in your diet.

Whey protein is very fast digesting so it's optimal to use post workout to replenish depleted amino acid levels.

I personally use one protein shake per day after my workouts. All the rest of the protein in my diet comes from whole food sources

The brand means nothing. I'm not sure why you'd mention it. It also has a suggestion re dosing right there on the label.
 
100% you should NOT touch that crap before a workout. you will be wasting energy digesting that shit during your workout.

there is a reason endurance athletes do not eat anything before their races, they don't even swallow water.. you wash and spit the water.. putting anything in your stomach before exercise or during is dumb and counter productive
