hello, i am looking to shape off some weight and i think to replace one of three daily meals with a protein shake, which one should i replace?, breakfast, lunch or dinner?thanks.

Rather then replace one of your meals, I would add in two shakes in-between meals. Eating small meals throughout the day will keep your blood sugar levels more stable and make your body more inclined to burn body fat and keep all your muscle tissue.

You want to be using a whey protein isolate. A whey protein isolate is virtually free of all carbohydrates and fat. A whey protein concentrate on the other hand has a lower protein content and more carbohydrates and fat per serving as a result. There are a lot of good products on the market but the one I am currently using is isolation from n2bm.com. It is a pure whey isolate and really nice tasting. I recommend it to everyone.

Three meals is already very little and we do not know how much food you eat during them. Do you count macros (calories, protein, fats, carbs)?

I would use a protein shake inbetween meals as a snack replacement, like muskate mentioned, and would not replace any of three meals by it.

It is best not to replace real whole food with protein, because in the end of the day real food will always be better than just protein. It is best to do as @muskate said - reduce the amount of food you eat with each meal, but don't reduce the number of meals you eat each day. This way, you would be using a protein shake once or twice per day to make up for your protein needs that were not filled with the smaller meals. Also, if you are trying to lean out, make sure to be using Whey protein isolate, as it is the purest form of protein that does not contain carbs or fats. I would really recommend using the Isolation by N2BM - it is a pure isolate, it tastes great, and the price is very good too.

Instead of replacing a meal, first start by calculating your TDEE (how many calories you burn in a day). Set up your meals so you will end up with a 500 calorie deficit. Train and do cardio for an hour each day and you will lose weight. Shakes can help if you miss a meal but you will be much better off to use real whole foods.
