Protein synthesis acts

It is said that 20-40grams of whey protein greatly enhances protein synthesis. Fast elevation of plasma leucine. And steroids also increase protein synthesis. Are these two situations through different mechanisms? Androgens increase mRNA. How about fast acting proteins? Maybe DrJim,Dr Scally, or someone else with understanding of biochemistry could explain similarities or differences in mechanisms.

Where is it said ?
I take a “dual action” whey+casein 26g protein, 1g fat, 3.5g carbs, 3-4 shakes a day with great results. I thought there was only 1 mechanism of protein synthesis, it’s just increased with aas..but I’m not a biochemist

Not in isolation. You will, of course, be consuming it after a workout / hitting the gym etc. Most studies that do NOT have their subjects workout instead have them fast. Keep that in mind.

does it matter? no.

how far you go in bodybuilding is dependent on your genetics, getting on a great workout and diet program, and being mentally motivated to workout even on days you don't feel like it. it isn't going to be depending on how much protein you consume. this is something that needs to just die.. 80's bullshit trying to sell people protein powder
