Good deadlift day got it done!! I went up my 20lb jump this week to 295 lb deadlifts. Got the 5x5s finished. Did try a set sumo stance deads to see how it feels on hip that was bothering me. It was ok but will stick with conventional since it’s going up comfortably and seems a bit faster. Went up on RDLs from 225 to 255. Those were a bit grueling. Got a bit of the dizzies catching breath after standing back up. Went up on Bentover and shrugs as well. Had a phone conference to get home for so did not get cardio in afterwards today. All in all great training day. Happy Lifting. 💪🌸

She is scheduled to squat 285 for 5x5 in two weeks from today. If she can do that she will be on schedule to do 345 at the meet in July which would break the World Record by 4 lbs.

As much as I love wide stance it can ping the hip.

@RoidRageWife this is a good deadlifting session. 300lbs is amazing for a woman. although i don't agree with woman working out like this (they belong in the cardio section only) i do give you respect

Thanks @2Thick!! Yes some would say that. I lift for strength not size. Bodybuilders train pretty light I’ve noticed. I just don’t see the point in having big beautiful “WEAK” muscles.
This is why Mr RR lives training with me. I can keep up…usually. He pushes me. And I’m like gotta do it if I wanna move forward! 💪🌸

Best Training partner ever @RoidRage69 . Whole life we have worked out together! Unless he was gone commercial fishing. Harder to push yourself w/o training partner. Don’t have reliable spotter and you’re only accountable to yourself. So u can quit early or cut corners….

Good accessory day 4 of our training week! Went back to our original location gym saw a couple of people there was nice to see. Slows us down cuz we get too talky us ladies and don’t keep flow going with the training. Was not a big lift day so was ok. But some the ladies like to hear what we are up to and asking questions on training. It’s nice. Went up from last week on a few lifts. Nothing crazy. Took easy on shoulders. Next couple weeks will be tough with the volume as weights increase on the main 3 lifts for 5x5s. Happy lifting 💪🌸

Thanks! I have always been sumo deadlifter but had a little bit hip issue was protecting few weeks back. So been doing conventional and closer stance squats which all has felt really good and stronger. Esp squat. So I don’t wanna forget how to sumo. So I’m keeping them in my warm ups as it lets me feel out how the hip groin area is doing. I feel like I’ll stick with conventional deads for competition. Will maybe do some sumo deads on squat day idk. RDLs or straight leg Deads are good for back and glutes hamstrings so they’re No brainer. nice to have options!

@RoidRageWife congratulations on hitting that 295 lb deadlift for 5x5! That’s a huge milestone, and it’s great to hear your hip tolerated the sumo test, but that you’re self-aware enough to stick with what feels best right now. Consistency and listening to your body are key.
