Struggle to go heavy on the hack squat. I don't feel comfortable on the machine. May switch back to the arsenal plate loaded squat machine.

I don't like squats either because I have to do them on a smith machine.Yeah I’m not keen on any squats really. I don’t like the spinal loading and knee issues.
May just do more extensions and some squat variations I can do with light weight like goblets.
