are supplements that are being sold online or in stores scams? what i mean is lets say i buy a whey protein tub from the grocery store and i look at the label and ingredients. is what they claim on there always going to be accurate or do they fudge with the numbers? i ask because it is hard to know who to trust anymore.

You never want to read the claim on a supplement. That is just marketing. What you want to do is read the ingredients and become familiar with what they are and do. Then, purchase a product that fits your needs. I highly recommend you check out www.needtobuildmuscle.com I get pretty much all of my supplements from there and have been for years.

Also what country is the product being sold in? Different countries have different standards and like Masonic Bodybuilder said they are used as marketing ploys. The FDA for the United States claims they have different regulations for "dietary supplements" vs conventional food and drugs, but a lot don't even fall under regulation. I think cbbram advice is also good for getting your supplements through good nutrition. Have you had labs that say you have been deficit in anything? That may be a good way of deciding what you really need.

Being skeptical in supplements sold online for a cheaper price is a way to save yourself from scam and dangers of unknown chemicals. Better to invest and look at the ingredients properly than to risk your health.
