Approved Log Semaglutide Journey

In a session I was drinking 8-12 drinks, most days I can drink 2-3 since on the Sema. Obviously I was hoping for a miracle cure but this doesnt seem the case. I am trying to think of a real world situation where Sema could be used to treat Alcoholism from an addicts perspective but I cannot see a probable use case.

Reading from the comments here, most people do not have a flying clue about being an Addict, ill probably write a post on how addiction works.

I try to think of positives; yeah I am drinking less but I am still going to the bottle shop (Australian vernacular for Liquor store, the only place you can buy liquor ((think LC in canada)) after work and drinking 3 cans on the way home from work, my job requires me to drive and we have on road breath tests so if I lost my license I would be in serious trouble.

There is less contention in my house because my wife isnt busting me drinking, remember Im meant to be a recovering alcoholic so every time I drink and get caught, its a huge disappointment for everyone followed by big arguments.

Positives would be: I am not hung over anymore, my health must be improving because my liver and other organs are not taking a beating from drinking large amounts anymore, I am doing less risky behaviour like drinking 10 drinks, running out and getting behind the wheel to get more, harmony at home is better etc
I had to post here as I am definitely WAY MORE experienced than you have ever been to being exposed or have been as a Addict... I'm sorry you have been going through this but to say most people have no clue is a cop out and wrong!
I am 55 years old and I have been doing every drug and drink I could get my hands on since I was a teenager.. Stopping only briefly when I signed up for the military.
Everyone here is being very nice to you and all you have to do is listen and learn.
I hope you all best... BUT it's you that has to be responsible enough to choose life.
I've talked briefly about about my younger brother as a example of what can happen to you from Ice or Meth.. He had a stroke and it screwed him over!
More recently though he had a bad relapse about 3 months ago.. Not meth this time.. Just a bout of good Ole legal Alcohol.. DUI with injuries he was in the ICU for a week.
He Fuckin survived AGAIN!
Luckily he didn't kill the driver in the other car. He will be going to court soon for DUI.
I'm going to post a Picture of my brother after this accident.. Because it will be needed to express the situation for you.
We are probably WAY more experienced than you think!
My Father died of Liver failure /cirrosis of the liver at 43 years of age... I know what it is!
QUIT DRINKING

very wise bro @medengines true EVO family respect for this and I hope @poopoobum read this in deal
i also openly talked about my drinking and drugs before bro
i was a serious alcoholic like bad, slept in a mcdonalds parking lot before shit is sad, lost family lost a wife and lost all my money, lost my car and the story goes on, but I dried up and changed my life switch to bodybuilding which is my new addiction, GYm and more GYM lol ;) been dry the sober for years and I do go to AA on and off just to support the guys there

I didnt mean to ruffle anybody's feathers, I said 'Reading from the comments here, most people do not have a flying clue about being an Addict" not "everybody here does not have a flying clue" nor do I want to be in competition with who has the worst 'war' stories, I just find answers like "just stop" laughable, if you could just stop you would, if you have been in Anonymous programs and rehabs you know the answer on paper is that easy but putting it in to practice is not hence why we have Rehab and Anonymous programs. As I said; I didnt mean to offend anyone.

I am happy for everyone here that has been in the grips of addiction and have managed to find a way out of the dark and living good and productive lives.

I am fairly happy with my progress and I have mentioned time and time again; this was an experiment as per what I was reading in the media and once again I do not believe Sema is the miracle cure to Alcoholism, it will greatly reduce your intake but and I am sorry to use this term again; will not secede the 'Mental Obsession to Drink'

@poopoobum we do understand your views on this experiment of course. But you should understand to use you're in the EVO family, we are truly trying to help you quit alcohol so you don't ruin your life (self admitted). Just as @medengines @Mobster @ZenithHealth have been here for you, I think all of us want to help you get to the other side of the tunnel.
You mentioned multiple times if you're caught drinking you'll lose license and your life, have you thought about entering AA to start? You can still drink and do it. It's something you need to try to do IMO otherwise the consequences are serious.

@medengines damn thanks for sharing that, very sobering what can happen when you let your addiction go too far.. no pun intended.

@poopoobum yeah it is absolutely a difficult thing to overcome that's for sure, I am actually quite surprised how many members here have suffered from the same affliction but have managed to overcome it, It's great you have already been making those steps in the right direction, its only been two months so don't let anyone rain on your parade just yet, you have made some damn good progress thus far, just make sure you keep moving forward!

I agree with the 1 day at a time approach... But... In the truth of it all.
The best approach is to drop it completely... And live for your kids and your wife! Look at them and say enough is enough.. Come on man taking drugs and throwing up and drinking more is not the answer.
A book from Victor Frankel..True story by the way.. He survived arguably the worse Prison camp starved and beaten.. While others died. So he wrote a book about this experience.
Man's search for meaning... Its a very good book... It may even be helpful with you @poopoobum
It's for me meant or explains that you have to live for something other than "yourself" to keep the will to live..
ie.. Find your "higher power" 12 step program.. AA Program.
Which is something of another story as well.. Author Carl Jung.. I've read his stuff too... He actually taught the Dude that came up with Alcoholics anonymous.. That story is a badass one as well.. He told him I can't fix you.. Until you find your higher power..
Year's later.. That dude that started AA used this method.. Which is your higher power.
It works when we work it and we work it cause we're worth it..

Might try reading these books.
I know it's sounds like "we" are beating this down.. But all of us know or have been there before!
I watched my father kill himself with the disease.. I just wish I had enough balls to say it to him back then.

@medengines I do agree dropping drinking completely is crucial for @poopoobum and I hope he listens and does it. He has EVO family support all the way in this journey. :D

Yep this exactly, 👌

Great to see your experimenting it shows your desire to change.

You need to rewrite your brain. It might be left field , go read a bit about Psilocybin and Alcoholism
