Hey brothers/sisters does anyone struggle with sleep apnea? I've been having issues for awhile now I snore very very loud wifey cant even sleep beside me๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚...

Done some research and looked into some sleep apnea devices leaning towards sleep apnea machine resmed 11. Seems to be the most popular machine sold world wide which also carries batteries so travelling wouldn't be a issue..

Questions I have who uses one? Has it changed your life? Please do share thanks.

Yes I have one. It's as good as any other. You need to decide if you want to use nasal pillows or full face mask. I had to go to full face mask as my mouth would keep opening up making it worthless.

@Abolone I've used cpap machine full mask on and off for a while, it works, especially when I got bigger.
I suggest it HIGHLY to guys your size, it helps and once you get used to it, will change your life and sleep pattern :)

I tried the cpap machines for a couple months, just couldnโ€™t get used to them. All I could hear is the air traveling through the mask and after 2-3 hrs I would be ripping the thing off. I got the custom mouth guard made up that move your jaw slightly forward and opens your airways up. Done wonders for me. Stopped my snoring I breathe properly and now I get proper sleep.
U just need to find what suits u best. But I have heard the machines are good if u can get used to wearing the mask.

Cpap is a great option but I havenโ€™t gone that route yet.

For me I use an upper mouth guard cause I grind

You need to have it custom made but it isnโ€™t expensive and will help

Also another cheap option are nasal strips. These will open up your nose airways

Itโ€™s very important you get this figured out because sleep is very crucial that is when your body truly recovers

Iโ€™ve been using one for about 2.5 years.
I have the resmed11 and 10 for my property. Both machines are great. I use the n2 nasal mask. Works great.
I def sleep much better with it than without. If your sleep or your partners sleep is affected I would go for it.

I have to lay on my side to prevent any snoring.. i always was one that slept on my back but once i got married i had to make the switch LOL but no other issues on my end personally

This is a subject that is near and dear for me. I have had a CPAP machine for approx 5 years now. It changed my life. Before the sleep apnea diagnosis I was continually run down during the day, weekends were for napping, it was hard to plan in advance for things as I never knew if I would be asleep or not.

With the CPAP, I feel like there's nothing I can't get done during the day and my sleep quality is so much better to the point that if I don't use the CPAP I wake up with a headache. Anecdotally, I've also been less sick since using the CPAP (less sleeping with mouth open I guess). I used to get strep throat once or twice a year and a cold every season before using the CPAP. Nowadays, i'll get a cold once a year and recovery is faster with the moist air blowing overnight (I clean/change out the tube, mask and tank often)

I have the Resmed 10 with nasal pillows, the first few days, the sound would get to me, but now it's more of a 'white noise' generator and helps me get into sleep mode.

I hope this helps you on your journey,

@Abolone I've been using a face mask cpap for a LONG time now
but many clients I'm giving them the strips to control breathing to see if helps first

To be fair you are kinda light relative to others (as is your want)

sleep apnea is a big problem especially in America
if you're overweight it's going to happen

I think all bodybuilders have similar issues
you've got to play around with things and find something out my ex used to snore a lot he was the one who used to abuse me he was 280 lbs

sleep apnea can really put a dent in your gains
it's important to get good results from sleep

make sure you give it a shot
let us know how it goes

i think CPAP machine is awesome
i tried it a few times when a friend let me borrow it

try this suggestions above
hopefully you can get some good results

i had to try different masks like others
so it's good to experiment

I wonder if you could do one of those sleep study things
they'll monitor your sleep and decide what you need

hopefully you can get this sorted out
nothing worse than being in agony
