Its not a tren problem. Its a drug abuse problem in general combined with weighing as much as these guys do. The heart can't support the weight and the abuse. Its a double whammy. The sport of bodybuilding at the higher levels has got way out of hand. The deaths have become commonplace and things need to change. Ive said it before, but this is why I quit watching and supporting pro bodybuilding a long time ago.
Nelson I agree with you a lot on this topic. Maybe not 100% of it, but the the overall message i agree with. Theres a certain level of balance in this lifestyle and understanding that line between use and abuse.
Stay away from the strong shit. Stick to the mild shit, and don't abuse in dosages and durations.
Some of the smarter ones knew when it was time to step away and save their health. Dorian, Branch Warren, Jay Cutler, just to make a few. They may catch shit now for not being as big anymore, but they are alive
Perfectly said and you and I have talked about this at great lengths together about as we get older especially learning that we dont need all that shit to make progress and how unnecessary certain things are... People THINK you need to run absurd amounts, run far too many compounds at once etc. when in reality, such a small amount can go such a long way... A lot of it is misinformation and a lot of it is the fact that people dont want to put in the real work with their diet and training, which we all know determines everything...
I said quite a while ago I was done with tren and in all honesty, i wish i had never used it at all but i know for me personally, i have zero use for it and try to push others towards different compounds when making a choice and if they are intent on using it, keeping it very moderate to low on the dosing... Your body, your choice, thats the beauty of freedom but i know personally, i wont touch it...

I personally made it abundantly clear after the last time i used it that i would never touch it again... I just dont find any good reason to use it personally... everyone is free to make their own choices and put what they want into their bodies... we all have to learn, some in a more harder way than others... the best we can do is educate people on the real dangers of it and try to guide the best we can... i know there are so many ways to get amazing results and while tren can do some unreal things, i dont think anyone will argue that part, the risk/reward, for me, is just not there... beyond the long term problems, which most people never think about, what it can do to you just emotionally is staggering enough to me... not to mention the misery that can come along with it on cycle...What does it take? I realize bringing this up is like talking to the wind, but I’ll say it anyway.
Shawn Rodden is dead. He was 46 years old. Forty-fucking- six.
Now I know to some guys here, I might as well as say he was ninety six. 46 seems so far away. Well, I’m not going to preach to you. I’ll just say what has to be said.
Shawn Rodden had, what I believe, was the most perfect physique to ever walk on the Olympia stage. He had size, shape, density, aesthetics, definition and an ungodly amount of muscle.
But here’s the thing.
Rodden guest posed at a show 6 months after he won the Olympia and he was a fat blob. No, he wasn’t just bulking. And he wasn’t just out of shape. He was a total nothing. He had nothing -- barely the remnant of a guy who used to work out years ago. How can that be? Because the muscle was fake. It was entirely the result of steroids -- mainly Trenbolone.
This is what is so astonishing about these drugs. Shawn was the epitome of the result of what massive amounts of steroids can do . We’ve learned over the years that they can not only enhance the bodybuilding process, we’ve also learned that if you use high enough dosages of the right stuff and you have an affinity to respond to the drugs, then the training is secondary. You can work out like an average person and you’ll grow like a weed. And if you have the natural shape that Shawn had, you’ll get among the top competitors.
What it alsos proves is that even if you’re average, and you take enough Tren, you don’t have to know what you’re doing and you don’t have to train very hard, and you too will look absolutely amazing. Maybe not pro level, but more muscular than 99% of the people walking the streets. And that is incredibly appealing. And that’s what a lot of guys do.
And just like with Shawn, it’s fake. I’m calling everyone on Tren out. You’re a bunch of phonies. It isn’t real muscle. It isn’t even muscle that has been enhanced with PEDS. It’s muscle that is entirely created from PED’s and it’s every bit as temporary.
And, oh yeah...one other thing you get out of that Tren cycle. You shorten your life.
Tren was taken off the market for a reason. It’s poison. Then again, I guess night sweats, coughing, loss of breath, high blood pressure, mood swings and insomnia are perfectly normal and acceptable. I see some of the mods here telling people how to deal with those side effects. How about telling them to stop using that shit!
I know...I know...there will be those who say Shawn had other issues or that they don’t take too much or they use a good PCT or whatever. Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
Now, you don’t have to listen to me. I know I’m not mister popularity on these boards. Saying what people don’t want to hear isn’t a winning formula for making friends. But here’s the rub -- in trying to help people I’ve gotten a lot of criticism over the last 20 years. I’m used to it. It doesn’t bother me for one simple reason. In the end, I’ve been proven right. And I’m right about this.
Of course, if you’re young you’re immortal. And since I’m old I’m obviously out of touch. That’s been established. That’s the mentality. But I’m not here to defend myself. I’m here to speak my mind and hopefully reach one or two guys who still have enough sense left to listen.
So, here it is...
If you use Tren you are a fucking moron.
If you use more than a gram a week, you are a moron.
If you stay on more than 12 weeks at a time, you are a moron.
If you think you’re going to become a pro and get rich, you are a moron.
But that’s just me. I’m just a guy who fell in love with bodybuilding and spent my life becoming stronger and healthier from it and remaining young because of it. And I’ll keep espousing the true bodybuilding lifestyle until I do. I’m not anti-drug. I’m anti drug abuse. And there is too much of it. Not only among the pros, but right here.
And then there are the guys who’ve gone the other route. They take a shit ton of drugs, get big, and think they’re better. So, it’s your choice who you listen to.
I wonder what Shawn would say. I wonder if he thinks it was worth it. Maybe he does. Maybe some people reading this would make that sacrifice just to have that moment of glory.
There’s an old expression -- don’t let the tail wag the dog. Bodybuilding can enhance your life. But you still need a life. If all you have is bodybuilding then the desire for more progress and more attention will lead to taking that shortcut in order to achieve it. Then it IS your life. And that’s pretty fucking pathetic.
Take it for what it’s worth.
ive always argued that you are supposed to feel great on cycle, to be able to go to lengths you could never do on your own etc... of course side effects are going to be there with steroids, but it should not be to the point of causing you misery, inhibiting you from performing in the gym like you need to be to get results... to each their own but i know myself, ill never touch it again...
