If you really wanna build up your back I would add in more heavy rows, like barbell bent row and seated cable rows are great.Sunday May,27
** LEGS/BACK/DELTS
- Deadlift, 5 sets, 135lbs, 225lbs, 285lbs, 315lbs, 315lbs. All to fail.
- Seated Leg Press, 5 sets, 135lbs. Very slow Eccentric and Concentric all to fail. ( concentrating on squeeze)
- One Arm Bent Over Dumbbell Rows, 5 sets, 65lbs dumbbell, very slow Eccentric/Concentric movement (squeezing the last) all to fail.
- Seated Cable Low Rows, 5 sets, 180lbs, slow Concentric/Eccentric squeezing the Lats, all to fail.
- Lat Pulldowns, 3 sets, 180lbs to fail
- Dumbbell Over Head Press/Side Lateral Raises-Super Set Delts, 5 sets, 45lbs/25lbs, 50lbs/25lbs, 55lbs/20lbs, 60lbs/15lbs, 50lbs/10lbs, all to fail.
- Barbell Front Delt Raises, 3sets, 35lbs, very slow Concentric/Eccentric pause 4 seconds at top squeezing the delts.
My back has been lacking so much, really trying to build some tissue in back area, please critique and advise, I need a lot of help…
lol I take everything to failure from the get goI wouldn’t recommend doing every deadlift set to failure. Especially the first set. Was that your first exercise of the day as well?
I’d like to hear some other opinions on this as I’m no expert and have much to learn.
Yeah your right brother, I need to use the first few sets to warm up…I list my sessions in the order that I perform the exercises as well. That’s a good practice for feedback. Well I guess it just depends on how you want to lift for the day. I usually try to do a warmup set of 8-12 reps. Then get into dropping reps and increasing weights. Then I like to finish with a lower weight / higher rep set for a burnout set. If I’m trying to set pr’s, I’ll go less reps on the early sets to reserve energy.
Will do brother, yeah I need more heavy barbell rows for sure! Thanks for advice!!If you really wanna build up your back I would add in more heavy rows, like barbell bent row and seated cable rows are great.
@LeNguyen your back is not lacking, you look amazing, nice thick back manSunday May,27

Ok brother! Great advice, I never do Pull Ups… I will implement them in my routines from now on! I’m so lazy sometimes, always leaving out the Pull Ups…@LeNguyen your back is not lacking, you look amazing, nice thick back man
for back, deadlifts but dont go to fail you can get hurt with deads easy
concentrate on PULL UPs even assisted with rubber band
you want wide back, you need pull ups simple as that, more pull ups = wider back
@LeNguyen you should keep weights lower and reps 10-12 not hurt yourself with heavy deadlifts, thats how a ton of bodybuilders get hurtOk brother! Great advice, I never do Pull Ups… I will implement them in my routines from now on! I’m so lazy sometimes, always leaving out the Pull Ups…
As for deadlifts, I will no longer go to fail, perhaps ad a little more wieght and keep rep range around 8-10? Or should they be done lower reps heavy weight for big back?
Will do! Thanks so much for the great advice brother…@LeNguyen you should keep weights lower and reps 10-12 not hurt yourself with heavy deadlifts, thats how a ton of bodybuilders get hurt

Hello brother, I did decide to end my bulk end of this month 3 more weeks, and go off of all gear for 8 weeks to give my body a rest. During the break I will be cutting fat and getting lean and during this time I will also go back to basic compound movements, all free weights hitting each muscle group twice a week@LeNguyen any updates bro?![]()
@LeNguyen you should have talked to us before doing so. Getting off all the gear just like that is a mistake, you should have pyramided down.Hello brother, I did decide to end my bulk end of this month 3 more weeks, and go off of all gear for 8 weeks to give my body a rest. ( bench/deadlift/squat/barbell row/overhead press) will keep all rep ranges between 8-10 and to keep from loosing any size. Then after 8 weeks break hopefully receptors are back fresh I will start another bulk. ( end off August will start new bulk cycle, thinking of Test-E/Deca/Mast or maybe only Test-E and Deca ? )
