Hello everyone! I am from the Netherlands. My friend told me about this forum. I am taking XXL Nutrition's 100% natural whey protein. At the start, I usually took a scoop (30g) in 250 ml almond milk. Slowly, I increased it to 2 scoops. Last week, I noticed some erosion in my teeth, so I went to a dental clinic. He told me that it is due to your whey protein. I was like, it's 100% natural and whey protein has nothing to do with teeth. I want your advice as most of you must have consumed whey protein. Have you ever experienced this? Really, does whey protein cause this type of problem?

The gritty residue from these powders can stick to ur teeth and cause tartar and bacteria buildup

Other things like gum or popcorn is bad for the teeth 🦷 too

@Ankurkohli That's some interesting stuff. I never knew how different things can affect your teeth. You just don't think about it ever.

@Ankurkohli At the end of the day you really need to make sure that you listen to your dentist and your doctors. If they say to stop doing something, you should listen.

@Ankurkohli This is a great post.

Teeth are very important. You should take care of them. You only have one set of adult teeth.

@Ankurkohli i find this hard to believe

I was about to say... in all the years we've been online and seen whey protein consumed erosion of teeth has never come up.

As I said previously - there are however, a TON of additives in some versions (esp the sweeter kind) which WILL cause issues. Same as when they're added to other food.

Thank you all for your replies. I went to another dental clinic, that dentist told me whey protein has nothing to do with the teeth erosion. He will start my treatment from tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
@Ankurkohli Do share the root cause of it bro once doc tells you......
