Is a kit required to do it yourself?

I was doing it before they had kits available. Pretty dodgy the way I do it but I keep everything sterile.

16g needle
Tubing
600ml bottle
Swabs
Band aid
Knife (puncture a hole in the lid of the bottle)

All I used but right before I do this I have a hot shower first to get the blood moving so it’s easier to drain. Just don’t make the mistake of pushing needle too far in or you will go through the vein.

I’ll make a video tomorro and send it on how to do it if you want

All good bro, yeah it was a worrisome moment for me on my first time but Red Cross was only allowing me to do it every 3 months.


You can also ask your gp to right a letter/reference to get a phlebotomy. You just need a open minded gp

Yeah if my bloods don't come back in range I'll have to ask the doc for a referral

What is your current cycle? Is your hemo’s out of range lately or just assuming they may be high?

Been off everything for nearly 8 weeks now. Was on trt test and 280 deca per week when haemoglobin came back at 195. Went to donate and it was at 200. So dropped everything then and there

Did you end up donating or did they refuse since I know they can do that. They did this to me once and I just said I owned a butcher and my world and food revolves around meat to eat.

Wouldn't let me. I was in the donation chair and everything. They'd even stuck the needle in about to start when she measured haemoglobin and said sorry we can't proceed

Funny how they know by taking blood out will actually benefit you but they just don’t.

They say they throw away blood that has traces of steroid yet mine always says it goes to someone bla bla bla.

Yeah exactly right. It doesn't make sense come to think of it. If my health is at risk, they should have taken my donation then and there to help lower it, not send me away.

They have now mate just found out today. I've just posted the results in my log, haemotology and testosterone results if you wanna check it out
