training arms everyday

Is it ok to train my arms everyday ? even if I do different muscle groups each day? or it could be bad for supercompensation thanks.

As a general rule - you want to wait AT LEAST 48 hours between workouts to train a body part again.

Remember that when you are in the gym training, you are actually breaking the muscle down. It's when you rest that the muscle recovers and grows. Training arms everyday would be counter productive because you are breaking down the muscle constantly and not allowing the muscle to regrow and repair.

For guys with lagging arms, I recommend training triceps after chest, biceps after back and then adding in an additional arm day. Something like this
1. back/bi
2. shoulders/abs
3. rest
4. arms
5. legs
6. chest/triceps
7. rest

simply put it depends on the amount of volume you are doing.. lets say in theory you do 2-3 sets of arms daily, that would work in theory. but doing 15 sets would be incredibly stupid. remember you are tearing up your muscles during a workout and then they are healing back up stronger, that is the idea here.

so a lot of guys adopt split routines. musky laid one out for you. the one I tell guys to start with is a simple push, pull, legs split. this allows you time in between to recover one set of muscle groups

It really depends on the workload. When you train back you are indirectly training biceps and when you train chest you are indirectly training triceps and shoulders. If you kept the volume minimal you could train them every day.

I think your main point here is to work on your arms. If they are lagging behind try something different instead of the typical curls and tricep extensions. Try heavy close grip bench and pullups. See how you respond.

I totally agree with this.

Im pretty certain you will cause your arms to overtrain and you will not gain any size, or even decrease them in size.

Give your muscles 48-72 hours to recover the very least and see them grow, given your diet is in check.

^^This. I would also question the intensity of your workouts if you're able to work a certain part everyday depending on volume. Not saying you should be "sore" after every workout, but if you're doing a proper split and working your ass off you will know you need to recover

Asking health and fitness related questions on here is very helpful for us with combination of exercises is become superb. Instead waste of time on fake services gets online that is a very good option for all students. Thanks for this share.

You have to rest for your arms to grow .. I don't think training them everyday is beneficial .. the plan muskate stated above is the way to go if your arms are lagging

Couple of quick thoughts.

1) In the pen - almost like being a pro in terms of training (not so much nutritionally but..). Train hard and spend the day recovering. Plus do they all have great arms??

2) I have done, if only once, the famed 'all day long arm routine'. Any such growth is as much inflammation as it is growth

More is not always better, and this is a prime example of that fact.

well a surefire way to know if you are overtraining your arms is inflammation in the wrists or elbows.

even if you believe it is okay to over train a muscle, the bottom line is your joints and soft tissues can't handle the pounding

why do you think bball players all have knee problems when they retire but they don't need calf replacements ;)

That is NOT what you told me last week when we snuck away, Eddie!!!!!

That's it, shred, keep to believing everything I tell you during our pillow talk sessions.

I think i lot of folks overtrain the bicep. It’s a very small weak muscle group. Best thing i ever did was cut back on bicep training frequency and added some additional frequency to my triceps. If you want big arms, focus on the Tricep...that’s where 2/3 of your arm size comes from. I love close grip bench presses and overhead Tricep extensions.
