I have been reading lots of posts and doing research about TRT. I have decided that I want to start.
There is so much information - most of which is conflicting. I just need it from someone with expertise in the area.
I am nearly 50 years of age. While I still feel pretty good, am active and still train BJJ, I still feel like I need some extra 'oomph', as I am getting fat around my midsection, getting tired toward the end of the day, have minimal muscle mass, take a long time to recover from training (it exhausts me, even the next day after a hard BJJ session), and don't feel I am as "switched on" as I once was, I feel a little 'blue' at times... nothing serious, I just used to be more positive in my outlook.
1. What TRT should I buy?
2. Do I need to take something to prevent female hormone production?
3. Could I get started with tablets, just to see how I go? I realise there may be liver issues, but for my first cycle, I don't think there would be too many issues, would there?
My goals, in order of importance, are:
1. Be more focused and positive.
2. More stamina, speed, and endurance (mainly for BJJ)
3. Lose belly fat
4. Build some lean muscle, not like a bodybuilder, but athletic
5. Better recovery so I can enjoy BJJ more frequently.
What I want to avoid:
1. Female hormone production
2. Hair loss
2. Bad temper
3. Stopping my natural testosterone production.
