watch out for fleas over the summer

Food grade diatomaceous earth Is another natural option that can help with fleas. You can rub it on your pets for and comb it in and it will actually damage the flea within a few hours. You can also use the stuff outside and as a barrier. Some people will also put it where their pets sleep, ifthe flea comes in contact with it it will destroy it. It won’t kill the eggs though, so keep that in mind but it will definitely help and again it’s natural and safe

Very important though if you want to make sure you use food grade product. Again, let me repeat make sure you use food grade product and it has to be that.

And make sure you don’t breathe in the particles because it’s a crushed product and breathing it in is not good just like anything else. But you can touch it and even consume it and it will be perfectly safe.

Yup I just shaved my golden and gave him his "summer cut." Also, prepping the lawn with spray maintenance next week.

We had to take him off medications to see what seizures were being triggered by, thankfully we were able to put him back on bravecto because last year he had huge issues. I Bathed him nearly daily to get the fleas off without medicines, did sheets and carpets daily. What a mess!

South florida heat and rain is a breeding ground for the fleas (and the neighbors have dogs that just stay outside all day, guaranteed flea bags).

oddly enough those pesky invasive fire ants are actually one of the few predators that will attack fleas and their larvae along with termites. spiders are also excellent at killing fleas via their webs. problem is a lot of people kill the ants/spiders around their house and then it causes a rise in fleas, termites and other very bad critters.

fire ants are almost like protectors of your home and if they are around they will clean up EVERYTHING lol. even roaches

another weird thing i do is i order ladybugs online and release them in my house, garden, garage and yard. they will eat 50 bugs per day, its just a matter of hoping they stick around and don't fly off lol

in my garden its a war of the insects. the sugar ants protect the aphids, who suck out the sugar out of plants and give it to the ants. the aphids get protection from the ants in exchange for sugar. the ladybugs will attack the aphids, and the ants will attack the ladybugs. its quite fascinating to watch, but because i release so many ladybugs the ants can't fight them all off and the ladybugs will win in 1 day. but problem is they win so fast that there are no more aphids, so they fly away.. so its a matter of keeping the proper balance and not releasing that many ladybugs at once. but when it comes to fleas fuck em, i'm gonna release like 1500 ladybugs and the hell with them. let them eat em all up lol
