okay so friday had a very good workout i decided to hit upper body. was waiting for the dude to sign me up and the guy up front let me workout since the other dude was doing a PT session with a client.
hit flat bench
machine press
rope tricep
I also did different curl variation, some monkey bars and pullups, back rows, roman chairs for lower back, and a shit ton of curls even though they are for girls
i also hit the abs hard with weighted situps declined and did ab machine too
this morning went to gym and focused on legs, short workout as i got a bday party to get to and had to go shopping.
i still did some monkey bars just cause they are fun
did 6 sets of front squats going up to 185lbs ass to grass
then did leg extensions to failure 120lbs 3-4 sets
worked both the calves and front lower legs
finished both the workouts with stretching.
both training sessions were FASTED and had excellent energy and pushed hard.
this gym is AIGHT. these types of 'meathead' gyms are a dying breed. getting eaten alive by franchise gyms. equipment is old and falling apart and there are like 1 or 2 of everything max so if someone is using it you need to work in. the # of people training is very few, i don't see the gym staying in business for long.. they were super desperate to sign me up and gave me everything i asked for included guest privelage for free.
you need a motivated owner and its exciting to open up your own gym but after a while it gets boring and you don't see the point of it anymore.
but its a new environment for me after training at private community gyms for the past 6-7 years so its a nice change up.
