You can now use PayPal as a payment option in Australia to buy crypto through the Aussie crypto trading app - Independent Reserve.

This will make the process of buying bitcoin so much easier in Australia as the banks have been a pain lately with crypto purchases. But paypal payments to buy bitcoin should be seamless.

On the independent reserve app the PayPal option is instant with 0% processing fees.

Ironically using PayPal to buy crypto within PayPal is currently on hold. Also here, in the UK, ALL my crypto apps now require ID. Previously, until very recently, only some did.

Sounds like things are changing over their the same way they have here in Aus. Basically all crypto apps here require verification via ID etc. There are some ways around it though like using anonymous apps like exodus and buying xmr via localmonero.

The main issue here is the banks have been actively blocking attempts to buy crypto via bank transfers and bank cards. So PayPal offers us a way around the banks limitations on buying crypto

I used Exodus just recently and Moonpay was the one asking for ID

I use PayPal to buy btc from localcoinswap; not many Aus sellers on their lately.
Also there's a bit of a markup, varies between sellers.
