Thanks fellas appreciate both sides of the equation (surgical and non-surgical). I don't want any surgery other than arthroscopic if it comes to that. Seems like the more people I talk to, the one's who had major back surgery ended up worse than when they went in and the one's who had the...
Great results. My wife has been bugging me to run a conservative cycle, but at this point she doesn't have the discipline or the diet dialed in. Good job to both of you.
MRI confirmed a almost 3/4 inch "extrusion" to the right side of the spinal canal impinging on the nerve root.....looks like a little crooked finger. I'm hoping they can do arthroscopic procedure on it vs slicing through skin, muscle and fascia.
I'm not gonna lie, it's hard right now not being able to go to the gym. Fighting mild depressed attitude and trying to stay positive and thankful that it's not worse than it is. But i really miss lifting and it's only been a couple of weeks. Doesn't help that i'm not the most patient person...
Thought about that. Time will tell. Starting with physical therapy (like that's going to remove the extrusion pushing up against the nerve), then onto cortisone shot (again just masking the pain caused by the impinged nerve), and maybe finally arthroscopic surgery to actually remove the problem.
Hey Fellas, been a bit since i've been here. Found out I ruptured L4-5 and herniated L3-4, with mild numbness and weakness in my right leg :( Sidelined for a while. Anyone else have this type of injury? What treatment did you undergo? What was the recovery time? How long before you were...
I wish you ladies all the best in your endeavors :) My wife is wanting to dive into the "supplements" herself but does not have the patience to do her own research so posting your experience will help me educate her :)
Definitely gonna start off slow and be careful. Been through a few minor injuries as of late and throwing my routine off pisses me off like nobody's business :) Cant remember where i got the time frames from, somewhere online, and it has the work time going up by 15 seconds each week while...
Working on dialing in the diet. My wife is in charge of the cooking cause we'd be eating nothing but steamed brocoli, quinoa, and chicken breast 6 times a day if it were up to me :) I can't cook for shit :) For the first couple of weeks we are cooking meals we like and figuring out the total...
As I've gotten older the slow and low approach has decreased in effectiveness. I still do about 30 minutes of LISS cardio after lifting to burn calories while recovering from heavy lifting, but there is something about a short maximum effort workout that leaves me feeling really energized for...
