In This AMA, James Hollingshead and Justin Shier break down the real strategy behind contest prep, from proper PED timing to why most bodybuilders sabotage their progress by doing too much too early. They explain how top coaches make calculated decisions, when to push versus hold back, and why sometimes the best move is making no change at all.

I don't know if holding back will make sense. You've got to push things hard if you want to win a competition.

No holding back at all. It needs to be full speed ahead. Otherwise you're never going to succeed.
