Introduction

supplements

Welcome Evolutionary.org UG Supplements #26—Best supplements for injuries. In this episode, the guys discuss injury prevention and recovery, their experiences with injuries, the best supplements for different types of injuries, the non-supplements to stack for injuries, and the best supplement companies.

Injury prevention and recovery

Mobster says it's a very common issue but not talked about cause it's not a popular topic. It needs to be talked about.  In his country, he sees so many rugby or futbol (soccer) players with knee injuries or other leg injuries. When this happens it makes it hard on them to perform the way they want.  When it comes to what we do in the gym, it is very likely at some point we will deal with injuries.  The most common injuries aren't like other sports necessarily, they are soft tissue nagging injuries that aren't so easy to diagnose and heal.  In some ways, just getting a clean broken leg would be easier to heal than getting issues with ligaments or tendon problems.

Many people do not take the time to warm up because the gym is too crowded. Even if they do warm up on the side, they still have to wait to use the equipment. Mobster says a simple solution to this would be to go when it's not so packed. Another solution is to try doing some walking before the gym on your leg day.

Steve reminds people that pro athletes spend more time on body maintenance than they do actually playing or practicing.  You can go to a game early and watch them 3 hours before the game starts, and some of those guys or gals might only play 5 minutes of the game.

Experiences with injuries

Steve says the #1 way to fix injuries is to prevent them in the first place by doing proper warm-ups, stretching, and learning how to train around injuries. He gives examples of what needs to be done to make sure you do not screw yourself.  This includes things you may have never thought of doing like hot yoga, inversion table, and Tai Chi.

The guys agree that chiropractors and massage therapists are mostly BS.  But there are some that are actually very educated and knowledgeable that know what they are doing.  Steve warns if you go to the wrong chiro or masseuse you can cause more damage than help.

Steve says body maintenance is very important and it isn't something that is overnight. You must continue doing it day in and day out and it will take months to reap the rewards.

Mobster finishes by saying don't ignore red flags when it comes to injuries.

Best supplements for injuries

The guys go over some of the best supplements for injuries. They tell a bit about each and get into what dosages you should be looking for.

Steve first talks about fasting, bone broth, and fish oil as beneficial.

Glucosamine: Naturally found in our body, this is a very popular option and helps with soft tissues.  The guys have seen situations where people with injuries will run this and feel better within days.

Hyaluronic acid: Also naturally found in our bodies and it will help as our bodies moisturizer for the joints and helps with inflammation.

MSM:  Found within cells in the body, you should use it to help with pain and inflammation, it works great when stacked.

Chondroitin: This is a great option for cartilage help and is a must for weight lifters.

Chromium: Helps with speed and recovery of healing.

Cissus Quad: This is a great antioxidant.

Copper, vitamins, and other minerals: These help strengthen bones and joints. Great for antioxidants.

Nonsupplement stacks also for injuries

There are other things you can use for injuries too. Things like peptides including Tb500 and BPC-157 are good options. HGH is also something you can take a look at especially as you age. You can also look at sarms family compounds like nutrobal mk677 and ostarine mk2866.

Best supplement companies

Supplement companies are a dime a dozen. It is important to be careful who you use because there are a lot of low-quality options out there. N2bm.com has trust supplements.
