Shakepay for Canadians is our Bitcoin app! - I highly recommend Nordic Fusion for any Canadian and @Fusion Canada uses BTC.
- I've burned through a bit of cash figuring this out as there are so many apps to send Bitcoin but their fees are outrageous (some are over $80 CDN to transfer BTC). With Shakepay it is usually $0.
The APP: Shakepay charges ZERO fees and is FREE to send to @Fusion Canada's blockchain crypto BTC address if you order once a month or less! Just email him at [email protected] or DM him at @Fusion Canada directly to get the BTC account info to send to and be sure and email him before each order because the BTC address changes periodically. Finally we have a Canadian BTC touchdown to replace EMT's or credit cards when your EVO approved Canadian source wants BTC!
The FEES: Free, or (and rarely) less than $3. As long as you're sending 0.0005 BTC (about $90CDN) you can choose the 'regular speed' of transfer for free and it will be sent in less than 12 hours. Any less than 0.0005 and you have to choose 'fast speed' and there's a fee for that is less than $3CDN BUT once per month you are granted one 'fast speed' transfer for free! So, if you order once per month, which most of us don't order much more often than this, your BTC will be transferred in minutes and for free!
The PROCESS for Shakepay registration: Canadians are now up and running for ordering from EVO approved sources using BTC - Here's how:
- Open an account using your preferred email and have your passport or drivers license handy to upload proof of ID, and confirm your account via email link. At this point you can be on a desktop or the app on your phone.
- EMT cash to their Shakepay EMT address at [email protected] from your email address used to sign up and it goes directly into your Shakepay CDN cash account. There's also 2-factor protection your money gets to your Shakepay account as there is a security question for the EMT in which the answer is tailored to you to ensure it goes into your account.
- select "buy BTC" then select "max" and then "buy". This will dump all your CDN cash into BTC. You now own BTC.
- Now, if you're on a desktop switch to the app on your phone to send BTC to your EVO approved Canadian source.
- Now is when it's important to take screenshots of each process for your source because the BTC wallet chain ID won't always advise your EVO approved source directly (ie: Nordic Fusion, for example) that it's been sent by you specifically. They will simply just see more BTC in their account.
- Select "send BTC" **take screenshot** and cut and past @Fusion Canada's blockchain ID addy he gave you **take screenshot** or your other chosen EVO approved Canadian source and off you go! It's very important you cut and paste the blockchain ID that @Fusion Canada or your other EVO approved Canadian source provides you because it's extensive, long, and case sensitive.
- Play around with how much BTC to send so it gets as close to what you owe as possible. For example, at the current moment today 0.00514 BTC = $600.33CDN but this changes every few minutes as the BTC stock goes up and down.
- Make sure your BTC amount equals just a few cents over what you owe your EVO approved Canadian source. Select and confirm send **take screenshot** **This is the most important screenshot to take because if the value of BTC goes down your approved EVO source will see you sent the correct CDN amount at that time**
- You'll get an email to verify your transfer to your EVO approved source, click on verify and it will populate a new browser for you to send, click send. And done. **take screenshot**
- Go back to Shakepay and ensure your BTC balance has been debited and the balance is now debited accordingly.
- Now, email your EVO approved Canadian source all the screenshotted Shakepay pics and let them know your BTC has been sent and the order is paid for.
- @Fusion Canada will then respond promptly from Mondays to Friday morning but not on the weekends. If you're doing this on a weekend with him wait for Monday and be patient, he will 100% follow through.
Despite the above being seemingly complicated it's very simple after you've done it only one time. When I do this with @Fusion Canada the process takes me about 5 minutes and then he has it at my door that week.
