Gear or Shake?

If you had to choose between using Gear or a standard shake which would it be? I can only afford one so thoughts are appreciated. Also, is there a approximation of how many gear caps would equal a 20G shake?

definitely shake over gear...

gear is meant to supplement food, shakes...

you shouldnt use gear unless you are getting enough protein per day from food/shakes...THEN you add the gear

first you get the FOOD
then you get the SHAKES
and then you get the GEAR

(office space reference anyone? no? lol)

Definetly the shakes. But if you could get both that would rule. I usually take tons of gear during and before my workout. and some throught the day.

That might depend slightly on the quality of your shake? Big blast or just protein? If I had to pick only one I'd keep my shakes honestly but that said I've definitely been enhanced by my Gear supplementation.

speaking of shakes...

speaking of shakes... I recently purchased NTBM's strawberry cream protein powder. Awsome. 80 servings for a great price + free shipping:40: Years of O.N.'s chocolate protein burned me out. Gear is on the way...Been makin' some great gains lately for a tall skinny dude! Thanks Needto!

try the cake batter...and i hear you on the "years of ON burning you out"...im struggling to finish what i have left over bc the cake batter is too good

If you need more total protein, you're going to need to get it from a shake, but if your protein is high from food, then I'd go with GEAR, because it will fill in the gaps that food cannot.

First you get the MONEY
then you get the POWER
and then you get the WOMEN

Greatly said, I only use 20g in the am after cardio and around workouts. My meals are enough of a source. I don't beleive in replacing meals with shakes. Or prebed for that matter. Take the advice above and make your decision accordinly. Myself, I will NEVER go without GEAR in my life. If I had to pick between the two in any case I'd honestly opt for the shake though.

i am trying soooo hard to get more food and cut out shakes...im at 4 shakes a day now and want to get down to two

it's so hard bc i cant really eat when i want to at work and a shake or bar is the only option

I like shakes because I am hungry all of the time and they fill me up for a little bit. I like gear but I just can't afford both.

I think GEAR is better than shakes as long as you are getting sufficient protein from food. It would definitely be superior PWO, because your muscles need to dig out what the time sensitive anabolic stuff (BCAAs + aminos) from the
whole-protein containing shake, versus obtaining the "unadulterated" goodies in the form of GEAR.

Additionally, GEAR would be a great addition to an insufficient protein supplement. For example, I chug down a vial of IDS's liquid protein when I wake up during my sleep or right upon rising. This is primarily collagen protein, which is missing some of the EAAs. So taking a couple caps of GEAR along with it would make it a complete protein source.

Hell, I need to place an order of GEAR right now :p

Good insight! And it is a main stay in my daily supps!
