Hey Brothers:

I am currently doing a 4 day split. PUSH, PULL, SHOULDERS, LEGS off start again. So far this has seemed to be working great. My shoulders NEVER seem to fully recover thou. Every day they are a little sore. Other than that, everything else seems to be strong and ready by the next go round.

This (on average) comes out to 1 day a week of rest. Mind you, I am on cycle so I recover faster but do you think this is enough rest?

Same exact split I do! You're probably using your shoulders too much on your other days, especially push day. Try skipping a shoulder day and give them some decent recovery time, then jump back on the usual split routine.

My biceps are the same way your shoulders are... They need a little extra recovery time every once in a while

You need to rest your shoulder plus change your shoulder routing too don't do anything like shoulder press try some dumber and a few machine that you can feel countable

Take the push out of the push day, focus on flyes and ribcage pullovers, tricep extensions etc....On shoulder day leave front delts out of it, and start with rear delts first. On leg day if squat is putting to much pressure on ur shoulder u will know.

Keep us updated, u maybe benching incorrectly putting serious weight on the shoulder and not on the chest.

I agree. I love feeling like a BEAST on milatary press but I think I am going to have to give it a rest for a while...ha

Your right. It starts with my push day. I just dont want to give up my heavy presses that bang out my chest. I just dont get that pumped on machines.

You can try some tb500 or some oxa b12 that will help you to fix your problem for a few months plus changing your shoulder routing

If u dont mind me asking, where is ur placement of ur hands, outside of, straight out from or slightly wider than shoulder width?

They are straight out. But! I have been stronger lately ha.......I think I have been getting cocky. You know on that last rep and you want to just get it done....I find myself pushing my but down and I think over compensating with my shoulders

Ya your shoulders are trying to tell you something listen to them. Find other ways for a few days to isolate the muscles that arnt sore that also don't put a strain on your shoulders. Because your pain or soreness can be coming from your rotator cuff not your delt. And if you injure that by over training then you will be in real trouble. Maybe even take a day or two and rest focus on abs or legs and stay away from upper body and let your body catch up to your mind.

Damn...makes you think doesnt it

I'm not sure that's a actuall factual quote. So take the rest days when your body demands them. I rest two days sometimes. I feel like I grow during those periods too. Plus I get right back in the gym feeling ready.

But I try not to take many rest days at all if possible. Only when I have too.

I also do individual muscle groups. So It gives everything a break for a few days.

Amen yeezus. Take a day or two away from upper body. Focus on core and legs and your shoulder will let you know when its ready. Ponder this... Would you rather take a day or two and rest your shoulder, OR potentially lose all your gains and be away from the gym for a year be your blew out your rotator cuff and need surgery??? I would take the first choice hands down.

From a physiological standpoint, the shoulder is the weakest joint of the body and if you think about it, you use it with every movement to some degree even in a stabilization sense for unassociated movements. Tjey need healing. You could obviously use research compounds but rest never hurts.... Easier said than done I know.

Leave teh shoulders alone for a period of 10-12 days. Train other parts of your body. This is typical soreness

Try using TB500 peptide for a few weeks. It's cheap enough and works decent for me.

Lots of sites to get it from but I found Pepbridge.com to be top notch like many other brothers here
