Welcome Evolutionary.org Hardcore 2.0 #190-   Retatrutide and how bodybuilders can benefit by Para Pharma.  In this episode, the guys go deeper under the hood of the car to discuss Retatrutide.  They go over all the new stuff that has been coming out on the drug, and also give their unique perspectives on how you can best use this compound for fat loss success.

Retatrutide background facts

Retatrutide, also called LY-3437943, is considered the most modern GLP-1 drug that is currently available in the bodybuilding scene.  It is designed for both diabetes and obesity.  Although it isn't FDA-approved yet, it is expected to be approved within the next 1-2 years and has shown amazing progress among those who have been lucky enough to use it so far.  Ely Lilly is developing it as an improvement on their widely successful drug called Tirzepatide.  The main difference between these drugs is that Retatrutide is a triple-agonist hormone receptor medicine, while Tirzepatide is a dual-agonist hormone receptor medicine.  Semaglutide is only a single agonist, which Steve explains is why the drug maker Novo Nordisk is getting their clocks cleaned by Ely Lilly and trying desperately to catch up with a newer version themselves.

Those who have used it have reported some amazing fat loss benefits, while also reporting very low side effects in the process. This makes it a far superior choice over outdated fat loss drugs since you get better results and you get fewer issues. Steve explains how he believes this drug, once approved, will be a huge hit and replace many other diabetes and obesity drugs.

What retatrutide does in the body

Steve digs deep to explain how Retatrutide works so you can understand the benefits.  As mentioned already, it does 3 things as a triple agonist in the body to change what is going on.

  1. It regulates insulin secretion and appetite by acting on the GLP-1 receptor. GLP-1 stands for glucagon-like peptide-1.
  2. It improves glucose and lipid metabolism by acting on the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor.
  3. The 3rd thing that it does is change your energy expenditure by acting on the glucagon receptors (GCG-r).

Essentially, using this drug will turn your body more into a fat burner rather than a fat storer.

Mobster then discusses fat loss alternatives and goes over the nasty side effects that people have resorted to over the years. Retatrutide won't give you these issues such as enlarged heart, raised HR, raised body temperature, explosive anal leakage, sweating orange colors, etc.

Steve then gets into the diabetes aspect and how beneficial Retatrutide is for those and explains why.

What the studies show

Steve says that phase 3 studies are coming in 2026, but as of this podcast, we have plenty of solid studies that have previously been done, and more have been hitting the wire.

They have shown improvements in things like HbA1c, fasting glucose, lipid health, blood pressure, and more.   There have also been studies showing a reduction in tumor volume for things like pancreatic cancer.

When it comes to fat loss, the studies are something special.  Steve talks about a study that showed that, on average, users lost over 40 pounds or 18% of their body weight after just 6 months on the drug.  The same study had people go 11 months total and ended up still losing an additional 15 pounds and an additional 7% of their body weight on top.

Another study took a look at results for those on the drug for a year and showed a 24% total weight loss when users used between 8 and 12 mg per week.  This beat every other drug tested in the study, and it wasn't even close.

Another study involved 350 adults, and it was almost an even split between males/females.  Those who only ran 1mg for 24 weeks still lost over 7% of their body weight.  Those who did 4 mg lost 13%, those who did 8mg lost 17%, and those who did 12mg lost 18%.  The placebo group only lost 1%.

Mobster talks about this study, which he said annoyed him because he showed it could cause bone issues or kidney problems. Out of the study, only 2 people had any issues, and they were people who dropped way too much weight, too fast, and were skipping dosages. The other one lost 33% of their body weight quickly and developed kidney stones.  Steve says that it likely was caused by dehydration since your body is shedding body fat via the urine.

Mobster then goes over a couple more things he found that he wanted to talk about and rants a bit.

Dosages and sides

The dosages on these drugs have been shown in studies to vary from 1mg to 12 mg. However, for most of you, Steve thinks you should start at 1-2 mg a week, then you can gradually increase the dose to up to 2mg, 3 mg, and a maximum 4mgs.  He does not see a point in going higher.  You also should allow the drug 3-4 weeks to reach peak levels, as it is designed to be a slow-release drug with a long half-life.

Mobster then debates weekly injections vs. microdosing the product.

The symptoms that are usually reported are things like diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and stomach upset.  Steve says that you can greatly reduce your chances of side effects by simply watching your diet and only eating clean foods.

Another issue is rebound effects when you come off. This is a very real issue that you need to be aware of before you use Retatrutide.
