Understanding TRT
Steve begins the show by discussing the various TRT options available in the USA. The first option is regular TRT, which is typically prescribed by a legitimate doctor who offers you somewhere around 100mgs a week. Then you have sports TRT, which is typically prescribed by anti-aging clinics, or a very aggressive doctor, who will put you on a dose of around 200 mg a week. Then there is bodybuilder TRT, which is done by pro bodybuilders or abusive gym rats who will do 300 mg or more a week. When you get on TRT at elevated amounts, you run the risk of blood clots, thickening blood, clogging arteries, kidney strain, and other issues.
Mobster says the NHS in Britain is much stricter when it comes to prescribing TRT and will rarely give it to someone under 30 years old unless they have a legitimate medical reason to. He also says you can now do testosterone checks by mail.
Mobster says if you have a genuine issue where you have issues where getting on TRT can benefit you, then it's a great benefit to get your levels where they should be. He says that he is now in his 60s, and he made the decision to get on TRT in the last year, and it has helped him feel younger and get better results. He takes a strong TRT dose of 200 mg a week.
Steve says he isn't on TRT yet, but in the future, he is open to doing it along with possibly growth hormone as well. But in the meantime, he avoids it by properly cycling steroids off and on and doing a solid PCT.

Are there indications for using certain Rx medications
Mobster asks if there will be issues using TRT and doing RX, and the short answer is YES in certain situations. He says there are almost 200 drugs that can interact with Testosterone, with about a dozen being major. Blood thinner drugs, insulin, or corticosteroids, which are commonly given, can interact in certain situations. When it comes to blood thinners, using anabolic steroids and even just some TRT will thicken up your blood, so it counteracts it.
Steve says that cardiologists are obsessed with anabolic steroids and are very much against them; they are even wary of TRT as well. They see what happens to their patients because even a proper dose of TRT will thicken your blood and open you up for blood clots. So if you are using a drug to help with this, you are spinning your wheels, and if you take a drug that makes this problem worse, then you can put yourself into a bind.
Steve's perspective is that if you are on 8 different medications, then do what you can to help get yourself off as many meds as you can in a safe manner. He is not anti-using Rx drugs; he tells the story of how he got a UTI 2 years ago and had to get on antibiotics for 10 days. But he doesn't depend on drugs year-round.
Talking to your doctor
Steve says you need to make a personal decision on how honest you need to be with your doctor. He talks about an incident he had with his regular doctor, when he went for a checkup and they drew his blood while on a cycle. The doctor called him into her office and asked straight up if he was on anabolics cause the way his bloods were, and he said yes, when he is on cycle, things get elevated and then come back down to earth. She was relieved to hear that.
Steve says the insurance company cannot legally deny you based on preexisting conditions, and your doctor also has confidentiality agreements that mean they will not rat you out for being on steroids. So you should be open about it with them to avoid confusion so you aren't put on the wrong medication.
Mobster says it's important to get the most treatment the right way. This way, you are living a long, healthy life and can better use TRT to your advantage.
