Intro
Andrew Jacked is an extremely popular and up-and-coming Nigerian professional bodybuilder.
He has built a strong following and is considered one of the top pro bodybuilder influencers due to his larger-than-life personality. One of their traits is his nickname "Jacked", where his real full name is Chinedu Andrew Obikea. Although he is well known in Nigeria, he has built an international following over the past year due to his quick ascent, doing very well in 2022 at the Arnold Classic UK and Mr. Olympia. Former bodybuilder commentators such as Jay Cutler, Chris Cormier, and Milos Sarcev have predicted a top 3 Mr. Olympia finish for Andrew over the next couple of years.
He is a large man. 6'2'' and 290 pounds. His offseason weight is closer to 315 pounds and he sports a 50" chest and 24" bicep while having a thin 32" waist.
Early life
Andrew was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1984. He was well-educated and studied engineering in college. He worked as a military officer and engineer and was active as a CrossFit athlete and kickboxer. In 2017, he hooked up with Larry Wheels Williams and started to train with him, this gained him a large following due to his impressive athleticism. An example of this is Andrew is so flexible he can do a split and he is so athletic that he can do backflips.
Andrew decided to move full-time to Dubai, which is a bodybuilding hub in the Middle East, to train at the famous Binous Gym.
Competition history
Andrew rose to the challenge when a follower goaded him into doing a competition and insisted he try and get a pro card to prove himself. He answered the call by placing 1st place at the 2021 EBBF Ajmaan Bodybuilding Contest and quickly earning a pro card. Samir Bannout was so impressed by his physique that he declared that he would one day be a Mr. Olympia champion.
In 2022, he earned a Mr. Olymipa qualification by winning the Texas Pro, and he won the 2022 Arnold Classic UK putting everyone on notice. Nick's Strength and Power did a video predicting he would have a strong showing at Mr. Olympia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUR1XOTQPTM
He proudly represented Nigeria at the 2022 Mr. Olympia and won $20K by placing 8th place ahead of William Bonac and Rafael Brandao. At the 2023 Arnold Classic, he finished behind Samson Dauda and Nick Walker, but ahead of Big Ramy to earn an impressive 3rd place. We expect great things out of him going forward and expect him to place even higher in 2023.
Training
Andrew has discussed a strategy where he isolates his muscle groups to achieve all-around development. He has trained with Flex Lewis and other veteran bodybuilders to pick their brains on bettering his workouts.
His shoulder workouts are legendary, you can watch a video here of his training with Carlos Thomas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYR5JTlOZwA The intensity of the workout and the sheer level of pain in his face is evident and show how much effort is needed to get to that level.
Another popular video is of him training his arms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14-YMvEjh84 Notice the incredible vascularity and sheer size of his biceps and triceps.
Another fun video is of him doing an Olympia prep with the Titan Crew, including self-proclaimed fake natty Mike O'Hearn. One commentator made a funny/sarcastic joke about how Mike being natural can still be just as big as the other guys in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWE-wuDb7jY In any event, the nice thing about Andrew is he shows how bodybuilding and weight training can be very fun when you are enjoying the company of your buddies, but at the same time when it is time to work, he can be serious and take care of his business too.
Finally, it is no coincidence that Andrew has as good a wide back, and V-taper, as anyone in bodybuilding right now. He trains his back with a lot of weight and intensity, and focuses on impressive symmetry, and muscle definition. Even Jay Cutler has taken notice and discussed this very thing on a podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uRkmF-cVv4&ab_channel=CutlerCast
Nutrition
Andrew does not eat a lot of meals as many would suspect. He is lucky to eat more than 3 or 4 meals a day tops. The reason is he suffers from many allergies and a lot of foods do not agree with him.
For this reason, he sticks to plain and easy-to-digest foods like Oats, chicken, rice, broccoli, and eggs. He might get in 1 protein shake a day at the most.
In terms of cheat meals, he says that when you consume them you are merely resetting that craving more and more. So it is best to just avoid them entirely. You can listen to the whole video here> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hth4tBVrgJ0&t=1131s&ab_channel=AndrewJacked
Social Media
He has an awesome youtube channel with all kinds of training videos and stories of his life. https://www.youtube.com/@Yesszzziirrr
His Instagram page sports an impressive 700K followers and we are sure he will hit 1M very soon. https://www.instagram.com/andrewjacked/?hl=en You can watch him training some serious weight and he also puts up some funny videos and pictures to entertain his fans.
He is a sponsored athlete of BSN supplements.
Opinion
We expect Andrew to make a big name for himself over the next few years in bodybuilding. Perhaps his only disadvantage is his lack of personal experience competing. The likes of Brandon Curry for example and Big Ramy have been competing for many years so they have learned more about what works for them and what doesn’t. They also know how to make sure their Visa’s and paperwork are in order to travel around the world, something for which Andrew has had trouble with before. Andrew needs to depend on coaches, trainers, and assistants to help him navigate life’s complications and keep him on par with his competition.
Steroid Use
There aren't any videos where we were able to find Andrew talking about steroid use, however, we can make an educated guess as to what steroids someone like him would be using to have that kind of huge physique. Considering Dubai gyms are overflowing with anabolic steroids, due to rampant abuse among bodybuilders, it is likely Andrew has access to anything he wishes. Here is a cycle he might run ahead of a Mr. Olympia:
1250mgs a week Trenbolone Ace per week
600mgs Test prop per week
1000mgs Masteron Prop per week total
1200mgs Equipoise per week
125mgs Winstrol/day
100mgs Anavar/day
15IU's HGH/day
5-10IU's per day Insulin
140mcg/day Clen
