Veteran Log First Testosterone Cycle and Beginner Training Log

Day 14: Late Log, Half Day

I was suppost to have a call with the new guy Dave to go over my retatrutide plan. He's used it before and it's difficult to prep and administer by the looks of it. But I was too lazy to charge my phone and had to go to the shop to get more phone credit and it's things like this that seem insurmountable sometimes but it's just a fucking phone call, it shouldn't be hard.

Didn't have a great day yesterday, I was so tired. It can't have just been that cardio bike class, must just have all caught up with me. I completely bailed the night before last and bailed half way through last night. It wasn't that "I'm just a little bit tired and can't be fucked today" type tired. I'm posting this in the morning because I had to drag myself across the road to my van and was literally asleep as soon as I got in my sleeping bag. Left the light on too, drained those batteries.

Oh how dark it is before the dawn. It's still fucking cold in the morning. Been forgetting the @LevButlerov warm water technique. Forgot to put the tip through it to protect the glass bottle

I intend to begin yoga classes in the very near future. I've been paying for access to the yoga studios owned by my gym chain ever since I moved to Wellington three years ago, but I've never even been on the flor they're on.

There's classes all throughout the day and of differebt types, hot yoga, power yoga, vinyassa flow (sp?) and yin yoga. I think it'll be good for me socially and spiritually too, as well as being a good addition to my active recovery days and maybe even more days, we'll have to see how difficult it is to see how often I could handle.

I told him I'm gonna add data to my log entires and track sleep. He's pretty keen on me hanging out here and is instead gonna give me his Korean one. It matches his old phone which he already gave me so soon I'll be able to ask the Samsung corporation how long I was asleep for.
you should use an electric toothbrush. its much more effective. works really good at cleaning the teeth @vanlife_gymbum
 
I just returned from the hour walk to the pharmacy. It took an hour and a half and I had to stop halfway for a rest. The testosterone doesn't just make chicks attracted to me, something else weird just happened too.

My pharmacy is right next to Peter Jackson's Weta Workshop compound, I wanted to go to a pharmacy with no other bums so I choose a rich area. It's a giant compound and has gardens around it. I've never watched any of his movies and don't give a shit. But it had a nice lawn so I sat down, nobody around, I don't even know where the entrance to the place is. I was so tired I had to stop my morning walk which never happens.

It was this moment a security guard in a uniform, complete with maglight torch where proper police officers keep their battons to make him look tough or something. He starts launching into a recounting of the rules and shit I dunno but when a gap where I'm due to respond came up I looked him in the eyes and said "nah".

He looked confused and it got awkward. When you're locking eyes with girls you must not look away before they do. It sounds crazy but they will dry up and loose their enthusiasm, so I've practiced this a bit and wasn't gonna loose to this fat fuck.

I follow the rules when they make sense but I'd be surprised if I wasn't on council property, I'm on the outer side of a giant barbed wire fence and I can't even fucking walk let alone scale that so I didn't really want to know what he was saying but I can can garentee it was bollocks anyway.

I was already trying to think of shit from Reddit to say next like "no is a complete sentence" but he just gave up. Stopped and walked back from wence he came.

This is why the government doesn't want us using testosterone.

Speaking of the government, I ran out of multivitamin and thiamine yesterday and can't of missed any days or dropped any because my next 56 days supply was handed to me by a government representative shortly after:

The shit they give a shit about I never miss ever.

If I missed a day of methadone I would have to explain why to three different people and go and see a doctor and full in a report form... so I don't miss them.

I'm not too sure bro, technically I was I was sitting on their grass I guess, but they had a very high fence with barbed wire on it. I forgot about it soon after it happened. One of my friends from Japan works there. He's a professional ice sculpture and makes props for movies by sculpting polystyrene with chainsaws - check out this one he made that's hanging from the roof at the airport:

So we are fully exposed to every lunatic, every Karen, in whole cities. Daily. I’ve had crazy old war vets try to fight me. They never actually did fight ME, but it’s happened to many of my coworkers. It’s way different now. If they are giving someone on my crew a hard time all I have to do is approach them and they have calmed down immediately. I work with a female project director. Everyone hates her, she’s ran off half of her staff. She’s really nice to me, and you can tell it’s like she’s trying to speak a language she’s not fluent in. The effects are very real and noticeable

Day 15: Mike Mentzer Day
I was beyond tired yesterday and I'm really glad I tried to rest. My upper body started coming right in the evening, just had sore legs from walking as I usually do. But I think I figured out what it was, I think it was the DOMS and affects of the leg session I had two days prior. They always took two days and usually had a similar affect, but generally I wouldn't have been to the gym since so I know it was that, but this time I'd been several times since legs and forgotten about it.

I did pin my ass end eat my eggs though. And did over 20k steps. I'll be able to tell you more exact numbers soon. Should get the Samsung tracker today.

Got rid of the estrogenic non-natural spatula and replaced it with this wooden one in the pic below. Now I can eat straight out of the pot so there's less shit I need to clean up afterwards.

Also ate four 185g cans of tuna in springwater and found my old stash of vitamins. I will finish them off but won't get more. I've been eating well enough and get the government multivitamin and thiamine pills.

I'm really keen on the fishing idea. There's prestine coastal roads where I am currently. Tons of people fish all day so I guess its viable. The exact place I park is in a marine sanctuary but about four miles up the road you're basically in the middle of nowhere, like no cell reception and everything.

I do build telephone systems, but that’s not what’s booming now. It’s all fiber.

When the original cable system in my town was being rebuilt, I was 18, and I was a short order cook trying to get out of selling weed and other things which I did because I was very… poverty averse? I had financial dysphoria? I was insecure about being poor my whole life. I drove a brand new car, had my own place, shoe boxes full of money, and had downgraded from selling way too much
for a skinny 18 year old in a tough town, to just selling small time to one group of people: the young lineman building our town. They had stacks of money and trucks and were banging all the girls. I met them from a girl. She was like “oh you can just come over to this house, they’ll buy all of your weed”.

Previously, some people close to me had gotten caught. I was definitely, confirmed, being watched closely. And my main guy was beaten to death and shot until he was unrecognizable. So I was looking for a way out. When the lineman were done with my city, the dude with the house gave me the rundown. How I could learn everything and go out on my own. How his boss had done it etc. he also needed a ride to Iowa (he left his car with his gf, a local I had been friends with since middle school) and he didn’t really want me hanging around while he was gone hahaha. It was time to go anyway because more and more people were coming over to his house looking for me and I was really trying to stay low key, and the lineman were all leaving anyway.

So I left to Iowa that week. I had cut my hair and started dressing preppy. So when I showed up at the shop the first day, no one wanted me. I stayed and cleaned the shop all day without being asked or paid. The next day, one guy had court, so his foreman took a chance on me and I took the other guys job that day. Run, never walk, first out of the truck, last in. I was raised to work hard.

It wasn’t a nice, stable, union type job. The owner was a hells angel. I made $100 a day. I ride in the back of a truck often. But they were damn good at it and I learned pretty fast. Foreman in 13 months.

Well. I heard that the lower on the food chain the fish is, the less heavy metal accumulation it has. Mussels are so good but I think you need to spend $100 to match the macros of tuna. Canned tuna is probably really convenient for your lifestyle too.

Coincidentally I have a friend who was a vanlifer for years. She has mercury poisoning from eating a lot of swordfish and shark like everyday. Raw carnivore for several years.

Shrimp is my go to for seafood. I never heard any issues with it. I just don’t eat it often when I’m low on money. Ground beef and eggs. I can eat a lot of eggs with no real consequences so I’m lucky for that

This is the bit I'm stuck on. I heard about this before with guys just deciding to be linemen and that working out some how. I know about how they broke up Bell and shit but it sort of created what looks to be like the wild west. We had to fill in two forms to take a piss when I worked at the phone company.

Even when we got "open access", like every company can access the exchange it didn't seem to really change anything.

All the linemen were traditionally trained electricans, kinda why I didn't get into it. I was a computer nerd and all the other phone phreaks from back in the day who didnt atcually becime linemen became painters and shit instead and I went the corporate route which I really regret.
The linemen didn't even lock their telephone company branded vans at night.

Unrelated to that I had my own buttinski set, master keys for the payphones, one of their 'mobile data terminals' which had this Erricson DOS software, SS7 Manager I think it was called, to interface with road side cabinets but you could also log other jobs like line pair reassignments and shit. All of the switch manuals for the gear at the exchange too. I recon I would have been better than them overall but yeah, it was like a guarded profeasion, you couldn't just decide to be one.

Hmm neither come to think of it. Only really get that in season tho, summer time, they always have them for Christmas in Australia for some reason. Those tiger prawns in the photo would be the closets thing.

We ran copper telephone, coax, and fiber all on one support wire. For McCloud. And it was obsolete before we were even done because they figured out how to run a ring tone on coax. And now everything is fiber, as it all gets replaced. I’ve built multiple towns twice! Might be three times before long.

My first long term foreman had a sister who was married to a film editor from New York. They tried to make a movie about us for a film festival and I still have one of the trailers. Cable Cowboys. They got divorced and it never was made.

You definitely made the right choice bro. Easy money doesn't get you anywhere. Not that being a drug dealer is easy but you know what I mean. All the people around you become fake and you'll stop caring about it pretty quickly. You can only fit so many hookers into the hottub. Those skills you learnt will service you for the rest of your life.

And you definitely would have died or gone to jail. I have never sold drugs but if I did I wouldn't have got off lightly. They always tried to pin it on me and were pissed off they couldn't. I spent pretty much every day trying to buy drugs, selling them would be like ripping myself off.

Haha man I got in on the UNIFIED scam too. The company I worked for in Japan in 2005 was literly called Unified Communications. Though it was VoIP shit already, h323. A protocol designed by committee. Bet those guys didn't get laid.

I have some theories about why they keep 1xx year old tech copper systems.

Your technical knowledge is stratospheric in comparison to mine. Unlike an in house bell lineman, I’m very specialized. I do aerial placement(construction) as my specialty, which they say makes me qualified for anything, so I place underground too for the easy money. I’m not sure what you mean. I used to work on some pretty intense stuff. I’ve been in catacombs with blindfolds and every contractor gets a different part so no one knows the whole network. Secret data centers that look like old warehouses, no sign or anything. Lots of government stuff. But they wouldn’t even ask questions. I’d get the work handed down from layers of companies and management teams. And just go build it. Stuff like that usually had an inspector on site. Most don’t have much to say. One in particular was a very interesting dude. Told me all about The Creature of Jekyll Island and a bunch of other stuff.
 
I have some theories about why they keep 1xx year old tech copper systems.

In Australia they have a state owned fibre network so it became a political issue. One side built 90% of the network but was a couple of years late, so the other side came in and just hooked the fibre up to the road cabinets so you still have copper pairs running into your house on the 'new fibre network'. They were late on that plan too haha.

I miss Australia, those guys take fucking around on the job to a whole new level.

That's a top notch idea bro. I think you could pull that off. If you cam go from a random weed dealer to a telecomms lineman then this isn't a very big jump for you. Especially if you get that machine :) look at bankruptcy auctions too, you can get splicing gear at them often coz "businessmen" get all sorts of stupid ideas about it.

The two of you could be partners and just gatekeep your skills and gear from then on, be experts not trainers. They'll try and make you teach them. You'd probably need a partner anyway, especially if you're gonna be underground which is likely with that line of work.

These companies would probably like it that way anyway. I was really just milking the change to broadband internet, open access & contracting. It used to be a life long profession with one employer, The Phone Company. It's not like that anymore but still in NZ the red tape is thick so it's not open season or anything but if you were to create a small business based on your speaclity then it would he a no-brainer than they would hire you.

Sounds like you're already an independent contractor but employees cost companies a lot of money, they have to pay for your desk and phone and insurance and tax for having you, all sorts. So if they pay 5 times your hourly rate up front, it's still cheaper to them just feels like more to you.

Unless you want to work as an industrial spy in the tunnels under stock exchange buildings, or for the PLA then contracting is the best bet. The rest of them will be the under appreciated guys you're talking about. These companies really don't know what they've got aye and who the fuck do they think they are anyway. A dude with a fibre splicer would make a mean disgruntled employee.

Day 15: Mike Mentzer Day
I was beyond tired yesterday and I'm really glad I tried to rest. My upper body started coming right in the evening, just had sore legs from walking as I usually do. But I think I figured out what it was, I think it was the DOMS and affects of the leg session I had two days prior. They always took two days and usually had a similar affect, but generally I wouldn't have been to the gym since so I know it was that, but this time I'd been several times since legs and forgotten about it.

Got rid of the estrogenic non-natural spatula and replaced it with this wooden one in the pic below. Now I can eat straight out of the pot so there's less shit I need to clean up afterwards.

I 100% believe you bro. I was mostly kidding before but I really have noticed a change. I originally thought it was because I started showering again but something more is going on.

There's other things happening too though, I'm feeling awesome from the exercise but also I'm just getting out and being around other people again. I wasn't doing that through winter so didn't interact with anyone for anything to happen anyway.

I feel some primal drive returning that I honestly haven't felt since I was a teenager. Not while sober at the same time anyway.

I'm already feeling a thousand times better than this time last month and am starting to level out into a groove.. or pattern, things are becoming habits. There's also starting to be a few warmer days now so should be proper springtime here soon. I can't wait to skate (hardcore cardio) and cook outside again.

I have been trying to figure out a better budget and eggs are going to feature even more heavily in the near future. Going to have 8 at least hard boiled in the morning for during the day, and carry a few around in my man-bag for when I'm away from my van. Eggs are the true convenience superfood.

Can you buy a protein powder tub? those are fairly cheap and mg/$ you will get a better anabolic balance if you can just drink shakes. If you're too hungry mix some psyllium powder in. @vanlife_gymbum

Day 14: Late Log, Half Day

I was suppost to have a call with the new guy Dave to go over my retatrutide plan. He's used it before and it's difficult to prep and administer by the looks of it. But I was too lazy to charge my phone and had to go to the shop to get more phone credit and it's things like this that seem insurmountable sometimes but it's just a fucking phone call, it shouldn't be hard.

Didn't have a great day yesterday, I was so tired. It can't have just been that cardio bike class, must just have all caught up with me. I completely bailed the night before last and bailed half way through last night. It wasn't that "I'm just a little bit tired and can't be fucked today" type tired. I'm posting this in the morning because I had to drag myself across the road to my van and was literally asleep as soon as I got in my sleeping bag. Left the light on too, drained those batteries.

Oh how dark it is before the dawn. It's still fucking cold in the morning. Been forgetting the @LevButlerov warm water technique. Forgot to put the tip through it to protect the glass bottle

I intend to begin yoga classes in the very near future. I've been paying for access to the yoga studios owned by my gym chain ever since I moved to Wellington three years ago, but I've never even been on the flor they're on.

There's classes all throughout the day and of differebt types, hot yoga, power yoga, vinyassa flow (sp?) and yin yoga. I think it'll be good for me socially and spiritually too, as well as being a good addition to my active recovery days and maybe even more days, we'll have to see how difficult it is to see how often I could handle.

Massage Chair Rountine

I gotta log about how great the massage chair has been treating me. It rules hard. It's a new addition to the workshop-ritual after passing initial trials over the last four 🌙 ights.

When I lived on the Gold Coast in Australia tons of male-model type surfer-dude lifters used to go over to Thailand for the whole 90-day visa-waiver period and do big over the counter pharma cycles and eat like kings for cheap.

They also get bar girls to massage their sore legs back at the villa before finishing them off and fucking off back to the bar. They wake up and do a line of shabu, pin roids into their ass and jump on their rented motos and head to the gym for the day. I knew of heaps of guys who done exactly this.

I wanted to mention the massaging their sore muscles bit. They all mentioned this, it wasn't a one-off. Getting a proper massage or a sports massage in Australia isn't cheap. My ex-partner got weekly massages from a certified massage therapist while she was pregnant and that set me back $120 a go. They really did bang on about it tho, so I am going to add in half an hour on the chair nightly. The "after-sports" cycle on the remote. I felt so good afterwards. It was similar to how you feel after a meditation session.

Getting them regularly isn't really an option to the average guy in the West, hence saving up for these Thai cycle-holidays or pharming as we used to call it when we went on trips to south-east asia to get pharmaceuticals for recreation. Some guys go to Bali or Veitnam instead of Thailand and I used to go to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

But these crazy massage chairs at the gym really are amazing and must be good for me, they are just as good as a human as far as your muscles are concerned. The Aussies were getting results from bar-girl massages so machine-massage should be a good-enough alternative to sports massage.

Thanks man I think it's going great. Definitely the self-administered testosterone therapy is going great, I'm atcually starting to get a bit bitter about the doctors who have been fucking me around the past few years, but trying to stay focused 😅

Did you notice a big difference when you changed positions at work and dropped your steps back? I do 20k roughly and have done a long time but in starting to get bothered by having aching feet all the time, was thinking about trying to cap it and walk less and do more intense cardio instead

I understand what you mean bro but I don't think it works very well, else anorexic chicks would get guys instead of doctor visits. I'm naturally fat I think, but he was basically the opposite and didn't look good.

Day 16: Added Retatrutide
Thanks to @Dave1288499 for walking me through this, he showed me on video which was much appreciated. I've atcually got the retatrutide from Life Forge a couple of weeks ago but it looked like you needed a spoon and lighter to prep it so I just put it off.

I calculated my dose by... ah. Adding a 3ml syringe-load of Bac water the 10mg worth of reta powder. Sorry can't remember how to spell the Bac, I'm not trying to sound already familiar with it.

So there's now 10mg reconstituted in 3ml.

Then I used this peptide calculator to find out how much to pull into the syringe for a 2ml dose, also thanks to @Dave1288499

The calculator design is amazing though, they've figured out what the "standard" shit (no, not THAT standard) people get sold are and have them all precalculated. My 2mg dose is in sight now.

Still pretty airy after 5 minutes, a problem for my leg to deal with.

In the end there wasent much to it. I pinched leg fat and inserted the needle at a 45 degree angle, pushed it in slow but steady and it was done done.

They're the tiny micro syringes, I don't have it with me but I guess they are either 1ml or 0.1ml total and I better check. And atcually i didnt notice thw IU measurements at all and definitely didn't account for that. The rigs i get are always in ml but these are from the vendor. I think you might be right. It's 10mg total though and I was going for 2mg. I definitely put 3ml liquid in as that's the max of the barrel I used, it didn't completely fill the vial and this is how much is left

Looking a lot like you pinned 2mg to me. Should be ok. Heard a podcast of a guy who accidentally mistook his Reta for hgh amd pinned 10mg. He’s ok, but he was quite uncomfortable for a couple days

Nah I appreciate it man. I know I did something wrong and should figure out what. I've don't know anything about IUs, I get regular junkie needles and should pay more attention. But I didn't have more than a quarter of a bottle and there's only 10mg of reta total. But now I don't know where I got that 2mg figure from and why do the presets on the calculator max out at 500mcg... I did look at a few studies too and seemed pretty safe but 6 vs 60 seems like a lot.

With retatrutide it's best to get EOD shots if you have UG stuff to get it in your system.

Doing something every day sounds good on paper but it's often hard to stay consistent over time. I was also worried Test E might not be the best choice for daily injections but I think it's okay. Do you have an opinion on that?
 
What does EOD mean bro? I do have stuff from a uGL not from a pharmacy.
EOD means every other day, like you microdose and pin with insulin needles 0.5mgs eod instead of weekly shots.

Ah I see, thanks bro. That was also suggested by @Dave1288499 but the problem for me is the fridge I have the reta in is not super easily accessible. I could do it if I had to though. Doing 2mg a week for 5 weeks was going to be my plan for this bottle. Is there less side affects that way or your levels stay more stable or the gear works better? I can clearly tell already that daily is the way to go for testosterone, no way I'm gonna do that weekly.

Yeah I think it’s fine. Test prop hurts and it’s dosed low so winds up costing more. A lot of people like it. They say you can feel it more, and that might be true, but it’s not anything amaaaaazing unless maybe you’re injecting 100+mg a day, then maybe you would feel a “hit” but most ugl test prop causes post injection pain so I can only imagine what that would feel like.

Aaaaah yes. Peptides can be dosed really small sometimes. I haven’t really studied reta because I’m kind of an ectomorph. If I didn’t try to maintain size or grow I’d look like a head on a stick. So you’re totally good and I caused you a tiny panic for nothing. My bad🙏

Ah that's interesting. It seems kinda rare at the places I have available too, either out or rare. We're not trying to perfectly time the half lives and shit to be taking more when the last dose is gone, I think some people are thinking that way though and adding confusion.
I'm trying achieve a stable level and maintain it I guess, not go up and down throughout the week. Plus I think there's lifestyle and habit advantages to having a daily routine and doing daily shots as part of that.
I'm still experimenting and figuring it out but I can definitely feel it 😀
 
Aaaaah yes. Peptides can be dosed really small sometimes. I haven’t really studied reta because I’m kind of an ectomorph. If I didn’t try to maintain size or grow I’d look like a head on a stick. So you’re totally good and I caused you a tiny panic for nothing. My bad🙏

There's a few things I do on autopilot I guess but since I was trying to show my working it doesn't really matter that it worked out in the end I was still using the wrong measurement system.
I'm glad that "the six line" in junkie speak is 60iu or 0.6ml on a 1ml rig and happened to be the right dose - close call though!
 
Ah I see, thanks bro. That was also suggested by @Dave1288499 but the problem for me is the fridge I have the reta in is not super easily accessible. I could do it if I had to though. Doing 2mg a week for 5 weeks was going to be my plan for this bottle. Is there less side affects that way or your levels stay more stable or the gear works better? I can clearly tell already that daily is the way to go for testosterone, no way I'm gonna do that weekly.
Get an insulin cold bag and put ice packs in it. Because you put so much back water in you would need to pull .30 ml on the insulin pin for 2mg it's two insulin needles at .60 ml
 
With retatrutide it's best to get EOD shots if you have UG stuff to get it in your system.

I'd rather have the reta in my van than the fridge anyway since others have access to it too. More frequent lower-dose shots is my preference in general and I think it works better for me that way for most other things.

A bit odd to be honest man. I haven't eaten since the day before yesterday. I don't usually skip entire days but often have ones where I don't feel like eating all day but get hungry all of a sudden at night. Walked 26k steps all up during the day yesterday somehow but I basically bailed from work at 10am and spent the rest of the day in bed. Almost 9 hours sleep the last two nights according to the watch.

It's now lunchtime and I haven't eaten either but I just walked 7km because I left my lights on last night and can't start my van now 🥵

I'm not a hypochondriac in the slightest and also have a good handle on the placebo effect, etc. I wasent expecting to notice many effects until I'd been taking it for a few weeks or longer.

I think I was really tired the last two days recovering from the last intense leg session I did and also the increased cardio but I think heavy leg press is what did me over so thoroughly.

I gotta walk that 7km back now so I'll see how I feel later tonight but my arms feel fully recovered not like the rest of me, and it's been two days since I lifted so I'd really like to do arms tonight in eight or nine hours time.

The one I had as soon as I woke up atcually made me feel a little off for 30 mins, like that 'over full' feeling you get if you stuff yourself with cake or something. Not quite that extreme but a similar type of feeling.

That probably would work pretty well but it's the dead of winter still haha. There's been a few spring days though! And more and more stuff appearing at the farmers market, I think it comes from the islands like Fiji and Rorotonga which are near the equator and having stuff growing all the time it seems.

I know a lot of coke guys who swear by yoghurt for this. I only tried coke once and almost rang up my mum to tell her I'm sorry for being such a fuck up and decided it was not the drug for me ;)

I also had a slight modification to the steak-pill where I used liver and froze it in in ice trays in the freezer. I got a ice tray that made small cubes, the smallest I could find and cut up little bits of liver for each cube space then just topped it up with water to fill out the space and I could easily swallow those... getting a few of those down worked miracles.

I don't really feel nauseous but for example the milk in coffee is making me feel full and just kinda sitting in my guts for a long time, and I have zero appetite.
It's probably a similar feeling to the side affects you got from coke, you just can't face eating at all and if you forced it you know it'd just sit there feeling like it was rotting in your stomach.

Yeah I would suggest washing the fat off your minces or getting leaner cuts

But I've always been mentally fine with this diet because after a month or two when your body has fully adapted you're using fat as the main fuel source and I was not restricting fat in the slightest.
All the fat rendered out of ground beef I soak up with eggs the next meal so loose none of it. I used to add butter to stuff too, and use cream in coffee.
So the idea of removing or restricting fat raises a bunch of questions for me.

Good idea! Lots of nutrition. I used to crave liver sometimes when I was carnivore, and when I did it tasted sweet and gave me a lot of energy.

I ate aaaaaalll the fat when I was eating zero carbs. When I started eating grass fed cows that I bought from a farm and bison, I had to add butter and heavy whipping cream to not feel lethargic. I imagine that you might get really lean really fast if you’re not able to do that But I’m not sure you’ll feel great.

I’m not sure why but before that I would try to add carbs and my body didn’t like it, but as soon as I got on testosterone I could tolerate it and I felt like I needed it. There’s definitely other variables involved. Like my weight lifting increased a lot, I was dating so my strict diet got awkward, and the price of the excellent bulk beef I was sourcing had doubled. Now tripled.

You motivation for eating mostly meat, if I’m getting this right is: getting the best nutrition on a tight budget, convenience with your lifestyle (not worrying about produce freezing in the van in winter), carbs triggering addiction tenancies. Basically all of them. Hmmmm

Yeah bro me too. It's really simple when you're just switching carbs for fat but gets complicated without carbs or fat, but adding exogenous testosterone which also changes everything... it's fun figuring it out though I guess =)

I wouldn't say my body doesn't like them but that they're hard to control and like when you stuff your face with meat you're DONE.
But with carbs I find instead of that I get some sort of second wind and can eat whatever all night.
They can even smash through the full feeling from fat, like how you have a huge burger or something and couldn't face another bite of beef but can still would down a plate of freedom fries no problem.

Do you get the same thing with carbs? It's almost the same feeling as with drugs and stuff, once I start I can't stop, and whatever mechanisms are usually there to make people stop are absent and basically only stop when I run out.
One time I caught myself watching the clock for when the shop open so I could buy chocolate. I'm embarrassed about that and don't want to be in that stage again.

But I won't be able to get away with leaving meat out for much longer. Only reason I've gotten away with it is that it's atcually been colder than a fridge in my van but the opposite is about to happen. It would be much easier to store other things than meat though.

Eggs are a different story. I atcually think they might naturally have a protective layer that they lose when factory farmed inside like in America. Vanlife guys say that eggs are in the fridge at the supermarket over there and that they must refrigerate them. That's not the case here and I often eat eggs that are months old and always have. We atcually got told as kids not to put them in the fridge but I can't remember why now.

I never used reta. I’ve been lean, quite lean, visible eight pack, for my entire life. Even when I didn’t do anything but hit bongs and binge eat. But I have used a lot of peptides. That was my gateway to PEDs. And that’s what drew my eye To your dosing. I’m familiar with peptide calc and IUs.

The protective membrane is washed off here. You can buy from farmers with it still on, but so many people don’t even know at this point that you may have to request that specifically. It’s VERY dumb.

Fruit is not going to hurt me by itself, the reta is gonna stop me from eating chocolate whicn was the problem I was trying to solve with both reta and this high-fat diet. I have some tuna but the thought of eating it is upsetting my stomach again so there's more going on than just a new aversion to fat. Definatly gonna be best split up into EOD doses like you recommend tho. Summer is almost here too, I was planning on eating with the seasons long term, get what is available locally to buy directly from growers or farmers between fruit, vegetables and fish and meat. Fats and cholesterol are also connected to testosterone in my mind. But I don't have anything specifically against fruit and vegetables and I've run some extreme experiments on myself with fruit and vegetable only diets. I can tolerate them and have no health reason to avoid them.

I have $9.97 so I'll see if I can get some oranges and bananas. Ideally this would have happened yesterday when i could have gone to the farmers market but there's always next week. I would have had to carry them 7km yesterday too.

Speaking of which, the daily pharmacy walk I often reference as "an hour round trip" is 6038 steps away or 4.68km which is crazy because the 7km walk is at least three times the distance in my head. Wellington is hilly though so that might be it.

What fruit do think is best @LevButlerov ? And do you think the sugar content of them matters when you're eating them whole with all the fibre?

if you can stick to just drinking protein shakes you're going to be fine, don't worry about other food. Protein shakes and some fruit if you have the budget :D

Banana for you is the best and easy on the budget, oranges not bad too, mix with protein shakes and you're GTG :D and dont worry about sugar, protein shake and fruit is perfect. @vanlife_gymbum

I'm already feeling a thousand times better than this time last month and am starting to level out into a groove.. or pattern, things are becoming habits. There's also starting to be a few warmer days now so should be proper springtime here soon. I can't wait to skate (hardcore cardio) and cook outside again.

I'm happy to read this as I know it can be a tough transition to switch into the mode you're moving into. I want you to listen to the EVO podcast I recently was a guest on (when it comes out) because a lot of it is for us addicts who are now sober and how and why we use the gym as our outlet.

Both @stevesmi and @Mobster really hit the nail on the head as well. You have to just make yourself a disciplined plan and execute it. Once you're in that groove it will become second nature as an addict/former addict you will need it, seek it, and yearn for it. It becomes our new obsession and the chemicals released are clean and natural and this new obsession is healthy instead of damaging to ourselves and those in our orbit.

It's the getting there that is tough and we talk about the struggle to have the patience to continue with executing that plan and allowing time to reveal the results. As addicts we want all the results right NOW so I understand your struggles. One day at a time brother and be kind to yourself when one day doesn't compare to the other.

hoping it'd stimulate my appetite but it didn't work.
When I was using cannabis regularly I lost the munchies, but struggled to eat without it. I very rarely use thc anymore, but when I do I get so urgently hungry I can’t even describe it. It can be pretty uncomfortable. From what I’ve heard of pro body builders that smoke, reta will over power the munchies pretty reliably.
 
if you can stick to just drinking protein shakes you're going to be fine, don't worry about other food. Protein shakes and some fruit if you have the budget :D

Okay, I'm pretty sure I can manage that. I could keep getting the organic outside eggs from the farmers market, 60 eggs for $40. If that's not enough with the new shakes I'll up it to 90 eggs for $60. Sixty NZ dollars is about three days worth of meat for me.

Then for an extra $20 or $30 I'd be able to get a weeks worth of fruit no problem at this time of year. All up that's just over half what I have been spending, so will have money left to work with to stay stocked whey and supplements and have some for meat/fish.

I got six mandarins and eight bananas and ate four of the mandarins and feel better, they're processing okay and I can't feel them sitting there like with the milk this morning.

Food Deviation Today

I ran out of money and meat. About lunch time I had my last three eggs and and can of tuna and that was good for the afternoon.

But I couldn't fast the 36 hours till dole day, so retrieved my sack of poverty-rice and made up a pot. Had about 350g over two sessions, only weighed one but I feel full and better. Will probably have it again after the gym or in the morning, then get ground beef tomorrow evening.

Massage Chair Rountine

I gotta log about how great the massage chair has been treating me. It rules hard. It's a new addition to the workshop-ritual after passing initial trials over the last four 🌙 ights.

When I lived on the Gold Coast in Australia tons of male-model type surfer-dude lifters used to go over to Thailand for the whole 90-day visa-waiver period and do big over the counter pharma cycles and eat like kings for cheap.

They also get bar girls to massage their sore legs back at the villa before finishing them off and fucking off back to the bar. They wake up and do a line of shabu, pin roids into their ass and jump on their rented motos and head to the gym for the day. I knew of heaps of guys who done exactly this.

I wanted to mention the massaging their sore muscles bit. They all mentioned this, it wasn't a one-off. Getting a proper massage or a sports massage in Australia isn't cheap. My ex-partner got weekly massages from a certified massage therapist while she was pregnant and that set me back $120 a go. They really did bang on about it tho, so I am going to add in half an hour on the chair nightly. The "after-sports" cycle on the remote. I felt so good afterwards. It was similar to how you feel after a meditation session.

Getting them regularly isn't really an option to the average guy in the West, hence saving up for these Thai cycle-holidays or pharming as we used to call it when we went on trips to south-east asia to get pharmaceuticals for recreation. Some guys go to Bali or Veitnam instead of Thailand and I used to go to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

But these crazy massage chairs at the gym really are amazing and must be good for me, they are just as good as a human as far as your muscles are concerned. The Aussies were getting results from bar-girl massages so machine-massage should be a good-enough alternative to sports massage.

Day 14: Late Log, Half Day

I was suppost to have a call with the new guy Dave to go over my retatrutide plan. He's used it before and it's difficult to prep and administer by the looks of it. But I was too lazy to charge my phone and had to go to the shop to get more phone credit and it's things like this that seem insurmountable sometimes but it's just a fucking phone call, it shouldn't be hard.

Didn't have a great day yesterday, I was so tired. It can't have just been that cardio bike class, must just have all caught up with me. I completely bailed the night before last and bailed half way through last night. It wasn't that "I'm just a little bit tired and can't be fucked today" type tired. I'm posting this in the morning because I had to drag myself across the road to my van and was literally asleep as soon as I got in my sleeping bag. Left the light on too, drained those batteries.

Oh how dark it is before the dawn. It's still fucking cold in the morning. Been forgetting the @LevButlerov warm water technique. Forgot to put the tip through it to protect the glass bottle

I intend to begin yoga classes in the very near future. I've been paying for access to the yoga studios owned by my gym chain ever since I moved to Wellington three years ago, but I've never even been on the flor they're on.

There's classes all throughout the day and of differebt types, hot yoga, power yoga, vinyassa flow (sp?) and yin yoga. I think it'll be good for me socially and spiritually too, as well as being a good addition to my active recovery days and maybe even more days, we'll have to see how difficult it is to see how often I could handle.

Ahh true.. that's a shame, I have heard about that happening to others too. One workmate of mine said something similar about not being able to have sex without it after a while too. I'm really sensitive about not becoming reliant on things, since I already am on a bunch of shit.

Interesting bro! Can you remember any I could look up? Dorian Yates talks about it a lot but not heard many others mention it.

I've finished experimenting with it and just happy I can get the sleep benefits still. I forget it and leave it out a lot but the few weeks I've missed have thrown me off big time. I wouldn't have been able to get through the methadone taper earlier this year without it for sure. I did get some appetite increase that time but I hadn't eaten for a week by that point.

I've used it for sleep or meditation or relaxing since I was a teenager but I never lumped it in with drinking and other drugs because it doesn't have what I was looking for in that regard. As much as I wanted to be a psychedelic space cadet when I was young none of those drugs like LSD could turn my brain off or let me pass out like I wanted so I stopped trying . It also made socialising a lot harder for me. When I was younger approaching woman at bars and shit was terrifying for me. None of the confidence I had in other areas meant anything and I was atcually full of fear about it and weed would make me even more introverted and socially awkward. I would also make me less confident in other areas like I'd think twice before dropping in on a big half pipe and stuff like that. The medical script I've had three years now and switching to dry-herb vaping have made it a pretty powerful tool for me.

With black market stuff you can't control the type or strain or strength and it loses a lot of its medical benefits. It was also the last technically illegal thing I was doing too so getting a script really improved things. NZ is starting to get affected by international crime syndicates setting up shop here including weed and I don't want any part in that. I think for people who use it regularly it should be a no-brainer getting a script.

Might have been Paul Barnette’s podcast… I’m not sure. I listen to a lot of that stuff just as background. I used to hang in every word looking for snippets of forbidden wisdom, but I’ve learned here that I was lead astray by a lot of it, and so much of it is just content hashed over and over for their income.

After not using it for many years, this is how it’s become. I’m my previous life, everything social revolved around it. It was a whole lifestyle. I don’t miss it anymore. I had a script for years, just to avoid the high Illinois tax and skip the hours log lines (I live on the border of a non cannabis friendly state)

Oddly enough, way back when, I was getting better stuff than what is mostly available at dispensaries. My friends that grew it then, mostly still do. The same mother plants in some cases! 30 years! Back then, we were basically rock stars. It was nothing to pull out a bag of something that everyday people had never seen the like of. But the black market definitely is mostly flooded with questionable products. I ignore it for the most part, but when I see it I like to check it out. There’s some really strong stuff now, yes, but most of the absurdly strong hybrid strains don’t have the same really high quality high that I used to love. I don’t lump it in with the hard chemical drugs either. There are people that have issues with it. But still not the same

I just started following your log and will read it back properly tonight. I just had an unexpected 48 hour fast and have been meaning to look into it properly, a few people here are big into it.
 
Day 19: Fruit, Arms and Shoulders

After an average start to the day start where I had instant coffee with full fat milk and it didn't sit well, likely due to the reta I started on Friday and I threw up about 20 minutes later and went back to sleep at 8:30am for an hour or so before I I got up and walked to the pharmacy to take my methadone and antabuse. The weekday pharmacy walk is about 6000 steps, and took 48 minutes today according to my new watch.

When I got back I really didnt feel like eating anything I had, the thought of tuna made my stomach turn. I was pretty sure I could hold some fruit down and since this was now the day after not eating yesterday I went and got some mandarins and bananas and kept them down. Later on I had two eggs and a can of tuna and feel a lot better. Gonna have to get a compost bin with a lid if I do this more often.

The gear was really cold this morning and I gave it a good shake but had to spend a few minutes flicking air bubbles out. Probably should have warmed it up, I'm not sure on that.

After a few hours of slowly eating I went to the gym and hit arms and shoulders. Feeling good tonight after a slow start this morning. If the reta levels out a bit but is like this I really think I can stick to a super clean organic whole food diet. Without any cheating too, just chaning for good.

That's the thing I've struggled with.

No more chocolate binges, they completely derail my plan and I don't want to do that anymore. That's why I decided to try reta and I think it'll work for me once I get the dose right and adjust and modify my diet a bit to suit it.

I'm gonna BBQ a lot outside starting soon. Weather that's meat, fish, stir fied vegetables or mushrooms or whatever it'll be fresh and local and will be a good diet for my goals.

My Dad makes sauerkraut and is going to send me a batch. A few of you guys talk about probiotics a lot, would adding this work for that too?

The thought I might have the gym to myself I had a couple of weeks ago is dead and the secret must be out because the gym was packed. Everyone smiled and said hi, was a good vibe about the place.

That’s solid planning, you’ve cut your food cost almost in half while still hitting your protein and adding fruit that sits better on your stomach. Eggs are a cheap powerhouse and with that many you’ll stay stocked without stressing. Keeping the whey and shakes in the mix covers the gaps, and rotating meat or fish on top gives you variety. (if budget allows) Good to see the fruit processing smooth, that’s a sign your digestion’s handling it better, so keep building off that base. @vanlife_gymbum

You pulled that one together well, slow start but you still stacked a solid session. Fruit sat fine, eggs and tuna gave you some backbone, and then you went in and hit arms and shoulders with good volume. Logging the weights and reps like that is smart, makes it easier to track progress without overthinking. Retatrutide side effects might smooth out in time, just keep adjusting food choices like you did today. Sauerkraut will definitely add some probiotics, solid move for digestion alongside the clean eating. @vanlife_gymbum
 
These twist off needles never really sat well with me. I mean it's cool you can just switch tips like that but there's downsides too.

The measuring system accounts for this so this isn't about under-dosing or over-dosing but wasting shit. At my current dose I'd lose a whole dose every three days to this needle tip.

Thanks man, I finally got the whey stuff. Atcually I got impatient and bought some supermarket stuff while the unflavoured stuff arrived. It didn't look much different on paper but I see what's wrong, a 'dose' of 30g protein is atcually two of the scoops, and I wanted to double that else it's not really worth it, so in the end there was a ton of powder. Too much for cold water and elbow greese to dissolve haha. I just woke up gonna see what I can do with 100ml of boiling water.

Man I get called a hippy a lot but check out what I had for breakfast
