PIP or Not??

Site injected my upper quad for the first time. The exact site is not sore at all, but about 4 inches lower it feels like very bad bruising. It’s slightly swollen and mildly off color. Question – Is this the oil moving through the quad muscle? Has anyone ever experiences something similar? It’s been 36 hours and still sensitive to the touch?

Sanity check needed!

My first few quad injections did that. The first one in particular, hurt like hell. When I do get PIP it is always a bit lower on the muscle than where I pinned it. I wouldn't stress over it if it's not red and hot to the touch.

Went through the same thing probably pip . try messaging the area if you can and a heating pad.that helped me

As long as no rash develops or you don't develop a fever, it is just PIP. If you develop a fever or notice a rash/hives, go to the hospital immediately.

Here are some tips for reducing PIP:

1. Heat up the oil prior to injecting. Run the vial under hot water for 1-2 minutes. Heating up the oil will bring it closer to body temperature and make the oil disperse from the muscle into the blood stream much easier.

2. Gently massage the injection site for 1-2 minutes after the injection. It'll help disperse the oil into the blood stream.

3. I am a big advocate of training the muscle you injected into that day. It'll help disperse the oil from the muscle into the blood stream. In other words, try to time your glute injection on the day you train legs/glutes.

Quads can be tricky. Follow the above tips and you will be fine. Just watch that it doesn't get worse.

Immediately after injecting massage and do deep knee bends at the same time. (A couple dozen is fine). Really seems to help dispersing the oil. The muscle pulls the oil around instead of it pooling and dropping.

I really like the idea of woking out the muscles that got injected recently - for me, this is the best way of dispersing the oil in the body.

Update - As all suggested, it was just a form of PIP. By day 3 everything calmed down. I just pinned the other quad today, so we'll see how that goes. Obviously, I've been doing too much researching to see what's out there on the internet. Not always a good idea - :). Regardless, it’s been so long since I injected test, that I can’t really remember what that was like.
